Setting user permissions for a payset
Select "Set User Permissions – Payset" from the left pane.
The "Set User Permissions – Payset" page appears.
The system displays the following field at the bottom of the page.

From the “Payroll Definition Unit” drop-down list box, select the payroll definition unit for which the payset is applicable. The drop-down list box display list of all the payroll definition units for which you have permissions to set user permissions. Tell me more
All the payrolls mapped with the payroll definition unit are listed in the “Payroll“ drop-down list box.
Select the desired payroll from the drop down list box to which the payset is mapped and whose user permissions are to be mapped.
All the paysets mapped to the selected payroll get listed in the “Payset" drop-down list box.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the payset code or the payset description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the payset code or description contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box.
Payset Code |
To view all payset codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these payset codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, PCC1*, will search for those payset codes that start with PCC1. Other examples are *PCC1, PC*C1, PCC1* and PCC1*. |
Payset Description |
To view all payset descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these paysets. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. PCD1*, will search for those payset descriptions that start with PCD1. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy
this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected payroll definition unit.
The list of payset records satisfying the search criteria will get listed in the “Payset” drop-down list box.
Select the desired payset from the drop-down list box. If there is only one value, this value is displayed.
If user permissions are being set for the selected payset for the first time, the multiline will be blank. Otherwise, the system will display the values entered earlier. You can edit any or all the values.

Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the data entered.
Select the user whose permissions are to be deleted by clicking it in the “Select” column corresponding to the record.
Select the "Delete" icon in the toolbar above the multiline.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details.
