Specifying currency exchange rate type

Select "Set Currency Exchange Type" from the left pane.
The "Set Currency Exchange Type" page appears.
Ensure that you have selected a payroll in this page.
Select the “Specify Exchange Rate Type” hyperlink at the bottom of the page.
The “Specify Exchange Rate Type” page appears.
The system displays the following fields.

Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. Tell me more |

Payroll Definition Unit |
The name of the payroll definition unit selected in the previous page. |

Payroll Description |
The description of the payroll that has been selected in the previous page. |
The following fields are displayed in the multiline.

Payset Code |
The code that identifies each payset mapped to the payroll. |

Payset Description |
The description of the payset. |
Note: The system displays only those specific paysets mapped to the selected payroll, for which the employees’ base currency is different from the payset currency.

Currency Code |
The code of the currency selected at the time of defining a payset |
|
Currency Description |
The description of the currency code. |
Enter/Select the following field.

Currency Rate Type |
Select the exchange type whose rate you require the system to apply while it converts the payset to the currency of the payroll to which it is mapped. |

The drop-down list box, from which you can select the exchange type, contains the following: “Selling”, “Buying” and “Market Rate”. It will also contain those exchange types that have been defined in the “OU – Exchange” component interacting with the organization unit group. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the data entered.
