Set Payroll Readiness Status- A summary of the activity

Through this activity, you can set the status of payroll readiness for a payset or a payroll. The readiness status can be either abort or reset. You can set the status only if the payroll readiness of the specified payroll or paysets has been initiated in the “Perform Payroll Readiness” page.

Aborting a Payroll Readiness Process: By aborting payroll readiness, you stop the process that has been initiated from proceeding further. A process must be aborted only when you don’t anticipate the output to be as desired. For example, you could find entries that have not been recorded or have been wrongly entered. In such instances, you abort the payroll readiness.

Resetting a Payroll Readiness Process: By resetting payroll readiness, you indicate that the aborted process is now rectified and ready for the payroll readiness activity to be performed.

Viewing the Error Log: When you set the status of payset readiness for the payset or payroll, the system checks whether the required conditions are met.  If it identifies any conditions that are not met, it records them as errors and displays them.  You can view these errors and rectify them before proceeding. You can also record comments, remarks or opinions.

Note: You can specify the Session ID that identifies the payroll readiness process, and abort or reset the paysets under this session ID
