Selecting a garnishment setup record for viewing

Select the “View garnishment Definition link from the left pane.
The “Select Garnishment Setup for Viewing” page appears.
The system displays the following.

Payroll General Info Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must edit the details of garnishment definition. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to edit garnishment definitions. |
To select through direct entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the garnishment definition ID
Enter the code of the garnishment definition that must be viewed, in the “Garnishment Definition Id” field.
Select the “View Garnishment Setup” hyperlink.
The “View Garnishment Setup” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To view the garnishment setup details, refer to the topic “Viewing the Garnishment Setup”.
To select through search criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the garnishment definition code or the garnishment setup description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the garnishment definition code or description contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.

Garnishment Definition ID |
To view the garnishment definition codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the garnishment definition codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Grnt1*, will search for those garnishment codes that start with Grmt1. Other examples are *Grmt1, G*1 and Grmt* | |

Garnishment Setup Short Description |
To view all garnishment setup short descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the short description. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Garnishment*, will search for those garnishment short descriptions that start with Garnishment*,. Other examples are *Gar, Gar*l, and *nish* |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy
this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected payroll general information unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the garnishment definition records that satisfy the search criteria specified.

The code of the garnishment definition. |

Garnishment Definition Short Description |
A brief description of the garnishment definition. |
From the multiline, select the record that must be modified, by checking beside the record in the “Select” column.
Select the “Garnishment” hyperlink.
The “View Garnishment Setup” page appears.
