Selecting the attendance type
Select “Edit Attendance Type” from the left pane.
The “Select Attendance Type” page appears.
The system displays the following field.
Date Format |

Select the following fields.
Payroll General Info. Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must edit an attendance type. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to modify attendance types. Tell me more |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. |
From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the attendance type record. |
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the attendance code or the attendance description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the attendance code or description contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box.
Attendance Code |
To view the attendance codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the attendance codes. |
Alternatively type in these codes in any combination with wild cards. | |
For example if you enter the characters DA, the system displays all the attendance type records whose attendance codes start with DA. If the wild card activity is applied, all the attendance type codes containing the characters “DA” will be displayed. Other examples are *ATT1, ATT1* and ATT*1 | |
Attendance Description |
To view attendance type records whose descriptions contain specific characters, type in the starting letter/s of these characters or in any combination with wild cards. |
For example if “DA” is searched for, the system displays all the attendance type records whose descriptions start with or contain the letters “DA”. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton. A list of attendance type records satisfying the search criteria will be displayed.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system
will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected payroll general Info. unit.
Select the record by clicking the check box beside the record.
Select the “Modify Attendance type” hyperlink.
To modify the existing organization unit mapping, select “ Org. Unit(s) Mapping” hyperlink.
