Base Period Unit

The base period unit will be displayed by the system as “Hour”.  This is a system-defined parameter.

Payroll General Info. Unit

Select the organization unit in which you must create period units. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to create period units. Tell me more

Period Unit Code

A unique code to identify the period Unit.

Period Unit Description

A unique description of the period unit. For example, “DAY”.

Conversion Factor

Specify an equivalent conversion factor of the period unit with relation to the base period unit. For example if the base period is Hour and the period unit is Day, the conversion factor is 8 (hours).

Applicable to

Select one out of the following three options from the drop-down list box: “All Org. Units”, “Login Org. Units” or “Selective Org. Units”. If you select

 
  • “All Org. Units”, you indicate that the period unit record must be made available to all the Organizational Units.

 
  •  “Login Org. Units”, you indicate that the period unit record must be made available to Login Organizational Unit of the login user.

 
  • “Selective Org. Units”, you indicate that the period unit record must be made available only to specific Organizational Units. The actual mapping of the Period Unit record to the Organizational Units is done in a separate page called “Map Org. Units”.
