Help on Cost Center
Select the help icon positioned in the “Cost Center Code” column header of the multiline.
The “Help on Cost Center” page appears.
The system displays the following field.

To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the cost center code or the cost center description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the cost center code or description contain. Optionally, you can enter the “Start Date” and “To Date” fields, to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box.

To view all cost center codes containing specific characters, enter the starting character/s of these cost center codes. |
Alternatively, enter these characters in any combination with wild cards. For example if you enter the characters DAT*, the system displays all the cost center records whose cost center codes start with DAT. Other examples are D*T* and *DA. | |
Cost Center Description |
To view all cost center descriptions containing specific characters, enter the starting character/s of these cost center descriptions. |
Alternatively, enter these characters in any combination with wild cards. For example if you enter the characters DATA-C*, the system displays all the cost center records whose cost center descriptions start with DATA-C. Other examples are D*C* and *TA. | |
From Date |
To view all the cost centers with a specified start date, type in this date. Example, if you type in “1 January 2002”, the system will fetch all the cost center records whose start dates are 1 January 2002. |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system
will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected employment unit selected in the previous page.
A list of cost center records satisfying the search criteria will be displayed in the multiline.

The date till which the cost center is effective. |
From the displayed records, select the required one on the check box and click “Ok”. The selected cost center with its description will be displayed in the Map attendance booth – cost center page.
