Select the “Map Accumulator” link at the bottom of the page.
The “Map Accumulator” page appears.
The system displays the following.

The code of the pay element entered in the previous page. |

Alias |
A unique alias of the pay element entered in the previous page. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline.
Accumulator |
From the drop-down list box select the accumulator that must be mapped to the pay element. The system will display all the accumulators defined in the quick codes component. |
Relational Operator |
From the drop-down list box select the relational operator (Add/ Subtract) to the accumulator. By default the drop-down list box displays “Add” value. |
Monthly |
Select the check box to indicate that the mapping of the pay element to the accumulator is of monthly in nature. This indicates that after payroll processing, the value of the pay element will be added to the accumulator monthly. |
Quarterly |
Select the check box to indicate that the mapping of the pay element to the accumulator is of quarterly in nature. This indicates that after payroll processing, the value of the pay element will be added to the accumulator after every three consecutive months of the tax year. |
Yearly |
Select the check box to indicate that the mapping of the pay element to the accumulator is of quarterly in nature. Quartely indicates that This indicates that after payroll processing, the value of the pay element will be added to the accumulator quarterly. |
Till Date |
Select the check box to indicate that the mapping of the pay element to the accumulator is of cumulative in nature. This indicates that after payroll processing, the value of the pay element will be added to the accumulator for every process period |
Note that you have to select only one check box.
% Of Pay Element Value |
Enter the percentage of pay element value to be added or deducted to the accumulator. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.

Use this page to map a pay element to various accumulators.
Through this activity, you can map different accumulators to a pay element.
Accumulators: An accumulator is a rule or method that states how a computation must be carried out. The accumulator consists of one or more pay elements, in combination with mathematical operators. For example, Basic + (HRA* 50%) could be an accumulator you define to calculate the taxable income for Tax type B1. In the “Set Accumulator” activity, the pay elements to be contained in the accumulator together with the mathematical operators are specified.
