Getting help on account code

Select the help icon beside the “Common Account #” or “Account #” fields.
The “Help on Account Code " page appears.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.

Account Code From	To view the account codes created from a specific date, enter this date
Account Code To	To view the account codes created until a specific date, enter this date
Currency	To view the account codes maintained in a specific currency, choose this currency from the drop-down list box.
Description	To view the account code descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the descriptions.
Account Group	To view the account codes under a specific group, choose this group from the drop-down list box.
Control Account Type	To view the account codes belonging to a specific control account type, choose this control account type from the drop-down list box.

Select the “ Search” pushbutton.

Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value. If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values. If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are applicable to the organization unit selected in the previous page.

The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the account code records that satisfy the search criteria specified.

Account Code	The code that uniquely identifies each account.
Description	The description of the account.
Currency	The currency in which the account code is maintained.
Account Group	The group to which the account code belongs.
Control Account Type	The control account type to which the account code belongs.

From the multiline, select an account code record by checking the “Select” box contained in the record.
Select the “OK” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
The account code you selected appears in the “Common Account #” or “Account #” fields of the previous page.
