Select the “Org. Unit Mapping” link from the “Edit Payroll” page.
The “Edit Org. Unit Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following.
Payroll Definition Unit |
The payroll definition you selected in the previous page. |
Date format |
The date format as applicable to the login user. |
Payroll Code |
The unique code identifying a payroll. |
Payroll Short Description |
The description of the payroll selected. |
Payroll Long Description |
A brief description of the payroll. |
Note: If you chose “Login Org. Units” or “All Org. Units” from the “Applicable To” field from the previous page, you can only view details in this page.
To search for organization units
Enter the following search criteria values, in one or both of the following fields.
Org. Unit Code |
To view the employment units containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the organization units. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, E1*, will search for those employment units that start with E1. Other examples are *E1, E*1 and E1*. | |
Org. Unit Description |
To view all employment unit descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the employment unit description. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, S*, will search for those employment unit descriptions that start with S. Other examples are *s, S*n, and *s* |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
The system displays the following fields, for the records that satisfy your search criteria.
Org. Unit Code |
The code of each organization unit where the Employment Information component is deployed. |
Org. Unit Description |
The description of the organization unit. |
Check the “Select” box of each organization unit record in the multiline, which must be selected.
Select “Yes” in the “Map (Y/N)” drop-down list box in the corresponding multiline record.
Select the “Save” pushbutton.

Use this page to choose the organization units to which the information you created in the previous page will be applicable
To search for organization units
Through this page, you can choose the organization units to which the information you edited in the “Edit Payroll” activity will be applicable. Until you choose the organization units, the activity information will not be applicable to any organization unit, including the setup organization unit you had already chosen in the “Payroll Setup Unit” drop-down list box in the “Edit Payroll” page.
Note: You can choose the organization units from the current page, provided you had specified “Selective Org. Units” from the “Applicable To” field” of the previous page. Otherwise, you must choose the organization units from the previous page, by selecting either “Login Org. Unit” or “All Org. Units” from the “Applicable To” field” of the previous page.
Essentially, a setup organization unit is an organization unit where you define master information. Other organization units access information from this setup organization unit; these organization units are called the applicable OUs.
