Setting the parameters for self appraisal
Select the “Set Self Appraisal Parameters” link from the left pane.
The “Set Self Appraisal Parameters” page appears.
Enter the following
Appraisal Setup Unit |
The drop-down list box displays the set of organization units in which the Appraisal Setup component is deployed. Tell me more. From the “Appraisal Setup Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit, where the self appraisal parameters has been defined. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employment Unit |
From the “Employment Unit” drop-down list, select the organization unit that interacts with the Appraisal Setup Unit for which parameters for self appraisal must be set. This organization unit must hold the Employment Information component. |
Appraisal Type |
Select the appraisal type under which the parameters for self appraisal must be set. |
Appraisal Calendar Code |
Enter the code of the appraisal calendar for which the parameters for self appraisal must be set. Help Available |
Calendar Short Description |
If you select the appraisal calendar code through Help, the system will display the short description of the calendar. |
Enter or edit the following, in the multiline, to set the parameters for different groups of employees
Department Code |
Enter the code of the department for whose employees the self appraisal parameters will be applicable. Help Available |
Department |
If you select the department code through Help, the system will display the department name. |
Job Code |
Enter the code of the job, to indicate that the self appraisal parameters will be applicable to all employees holding this job. Help Available |
Job Title |
If you select the job code through Help, the system will display the job title. |
Job Level |
Select the job level, to indicate that the self appraisal parameters will be applicable to all employees at this job level. |
Position Code |
Enter the code of the position, to indicate that the self appraisal parameters will be applicable to all employees holding this position. Help Available |
Position Title |
If you select the position code through Help, the system will display the position title. |
Grade Set Code |
Enter the code of the grade set, to indicate that the self appraisal parameters will be applicable to all employees in this grade set. Help Available |
Grade Set |
If you selected this grade set through Help, the system will display the description of the grade set. |
Grade Code |
Enter the code of the grade, to indicate that the self appraisal parameters will be applicable to all employees in this grade. Help Available |
Grade |
If you selected this grade through Help, the system will display the description of the grade. |
Mandatory Before Appraisal |
Check this box, if self appraisal is mandatory before appraisal. |
Include in Overall Rating |
Check this box, if you want the system to take into account the employee’s self appraisal ratings, during the consolidated rating of the employee. The ratings will refer to the weightages that the employee will assign to self during self appraisal, for each objective. |
Parameter Category |
From the drop-down list box, select the parameter category for the calendar code. The combo is loaded from the user defined quick codes. One or many Parameter Categories can be mapped to the Calendar. |
System Rating Basis |
From the drop-down list box, select the system rating basis for the appraisal setup. The combo is loaded from the system defined quick codes. |
Remarks |
Any remark pertaining to the self appraisal parameters for this group of employees. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
The system saves the details.
To delete the self appraisal parameters details
Check the “Select” box contained in the multiline record that you want to delete.
Select the delete icon in the multiline bar, over the multiline.
The specific self appraisal record, along with the parameter details, is deleted for this group of employees.
To edit the self appraisal parameters details
Enter the Appraisal Setup Unit, Employment Unit, Appraisal Type and Appraisal Calendar for which the self appraisal parameters will be applicable.
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The multiline will display the existing parameter details for each group of employees.
Edit the required details in the multiline.
Select the “Save” push button.
Note: Before editing, ensure that no employee belonging to any of the employee groups defined already through this Activity has completed his or her self appraisal
