Recording the details of the appraisal template
Select the “Record Appraisal Templates” link from the left pane.
The “Record Appraisal Templates” page appears.
Enter the following
Appraisal Setup Unit |
The drop-down list box displays the set of organization units in which the Appraisal Setup component is deployed. Tell me more. From the “Appraisal Setup Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit, where the appraisal template has been defined. |
Date Format
|
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employment Unit |
From the “Employment Unit” drop-down list, select the organization unit that interacts with the Appraisal Setup Unit, to access appraisal template information. This organization unit must hold the Employment Information component. |
To identify the appraisal template
Appraisal Template Code |
Enter a unique code to identify the appraisal template. |
Template Short Description |
Enter a short description of the template. |
Template Long Description |
Enter a long description of the template. |

To map objectives to the appraisal template
Enter the following, in the “Map Objectives” multiline.
Objective Group |
From the drop-down list box, select the objective group from which you require to import objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in quick codes. The system displays "Select" by default on launch of the page. |
Objective Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of an objective from which you require to import objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in quick codes. The system displays "Select" by default on launch of the page. |
Objective Code |
The code of the objective that you want to map to the evaluation template. The objective code must have been defined already, in the “Record Appraisal Objectives” page. Help Available Instead of retrieving an existing objective code, you can enter a unique code to identify a new objective. |
Objective Description |
If you select the objective code through Help, the objective description is displayed. If you have entered a new objective code in the “Objective Code” field, enter a unique description of this code. |
Objective Detailed Description |
If you select the objective code through Help, the detailed description of the objective is displayed. If you have entered a new objective code in the “Objective Code” field, enter a detailed description of this code. |
Objective Weightage |
A number to indicate the weightage you want to assign to the objective, with respect to the other objectives mapped to the evaluation template. See the example below. |
Select the “Compute Objective Weightage in Percentage” pushbutton.
The multiline displays the following, for each objective
Enter any comments pertaining to the appraisal template, in the “Comments” field.
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
To edit the appraisal template
From the “Appraisal Setup Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which you require to modify the appraisal template
From the “Employment Unit” drop-down list box, select the employment unit for which you require to modify the appraisal template.
In the “Appraisal Template Code” field, enter the code of the appraisal template whose details you require to edit
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The short and long descriptions and “Inactive” status are displayed.
Edit any of these fields, if required.
The “Map Objectives” multiline displays the details of all the objectives mapped already to this appraisal template.
Edit any of the fields in the multiline.
If you have edited the “Objective Weightage” field for any objective, select the “Compute Objective Weightage in Percentage” pushbutton.
The multiline recalculates the weightage for this objective, and displays it in the multiline
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
On click of Save and if the template is mapped to any calendar in calendar template mapping, in the map objectives multiline, the system checks whether the Objective Group and Type Combination is a valid combination in the mapped calendars by validating the existence in the Record Appraisal Objective Parameters screen.
To unmap objectives from the appraisal template
In the multiline, select each objective code that is to be marked for deletion.
Select the Delete icon in the multiline bar, above the multiline.
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
The system unmaps the selected objectives from the appraisal template.
To delete the appraisal template
From the “Appraisal Setup Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit under which you require to delete the appraisal template
From the “Employment Unit” drop-down list box, select the employment unit
In the “Appraisal Template Code” field, enter the code of the appraisal template whose details you require to delete
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The objectives of the appraisal template are displayed in the multiline.
Select the Delete pushbutton
The appraisal template is deleted.
