9 Box Rating Details

This page allows you to record and view the 9 box rating details of an appraisee. The X axis (horizontal line of 3 boxes assesses employee’s performance and the Y axis of 3 boxes (vertical line) assesses employee’s potential. A combination of Y and X axis makes up the box within the grid that the employee is placed. The graph is displayed based on the color coding scheme and the rating parameters and as per the value selected for Rated By and Rater Employee. The system fetches the multiline details based on the login user and from the preceding UIs.

Select the “9 Box Rating Details” link at the bottom of the page.

The “Record 9 Box Rating Parameters” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Appraisal Admin Unit	The appraisal admin unit is displayed from the previous page.
Date Format	The date format that is applicable to the login user.
Employee	The code identifying the employee for whom 9 box rating has to be performed displayed from the previous page.
Employee Name	The employee name of the appraisee.
Appraisal Type	The type of appraisal performed for the appraisee which is displayed from the previous page.
Parameter Category	The parameter category defined for the calendar code which is displayed from the previous page.
Appraisal Calendar Code	The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls which is displayed from the previous page.
Calender Short Description	A short description of the appraisal calendar which is displayed from the previous page.
Period From	The start date of the selected appraisal calendar.
Period To	The end date of the selected appraisal calendar.

Enter the following fields:

Rated By

From the drop-down list box, select the login employee. The combo is loaded with the values “Employee”, “Appraiser”, “Reviewer” and “Normalizer” from the user defined quick codes based on login user role. If the login user is “Employee” then the system lists only Employee. If the login user is “Appraiser” then the system lists the values as Employee and Appraiser. If login user is “”Reviewer” then the system lists the values as Employee, Appraiser and Reviewer. If the login user is “Normalizer” then the system lists all the available values.

Rater Employee

From the drop-down list box, select the code that identifies the login employee. The combo is loaded with the corresponding code based on the login user and the preceding page.

Note: The rated by and rater employee values are loaded with the corresponding roles and defaulted based on the login user and the preceding UIs. These fields are shown as display only, if this page is launched from the view screen of preceding UI’s.

The system displays the following field:

Rater Employee Name

The name of the login employee.

The system displays the following details in the “9 Box Rating Summary” multiline:

Rating Type	The type of the 9 box rating given to the appraisee. The system lists the type based on the login user and the subscriber page.
Overall Rating	The overall rating of the appraisee.
Overall Rate Grade	The overall rate grade of the appraisee.
X-Axis Rating	The rating of the appraisee specified against the x-axis.
X-Axis Grade	The grade of the x-axis. The values could be “Low”, “Medium” and “High”.
Y-Axis Rating	The rating of the appraisee specified against the y-axis.
Y-Axis Grade	The grade of the y-axis. The values could be “Low”, “Medium” and “High”.
Color	The color of the rating of the employee. The color defined for the x-axis and y-axis based on the rating / grade provided to the employee.

The system displays the following in the “Objective Group and Type Mapping for X-Axis and Y-Axis” multiline:

Objective Group	The objective group for which you want to map the x-axis and y-axis. The system lists the values as defined in "Record 9 Box Rating Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar.
Objective Type	The type of an objective for which you want to map the x-axis and y-axis. The system lists the values as defined in “Record 9 Box Rating Parameter " activity for the selected appraisal calendar.
Axis Mapping	The axis which is mapped to the objective group and type. The system lists the values as defined in “Record 9 Box Rating Parameter " activity for the selected appraisal calendar.
Axis Description	The description of the axis. The system lists the values as defined in “Record 9 Box Rating Parameter " activity for the selected appraisal calendar.

Enter the following details in the “9 Box Rating Details” group box:

X-Axis Rating	The rating given to the appraisee against the x-axis.
Y-Axis Rating	The rating given to the appraisee against the y-axis.
X-Axis Grade	The grade of the x-axis. The values could be “Low”, “Medium” and “High”.
Y-Axis Grade	The grade of the y-axis. The values could be “Low”, “Medium” and “High”.

Note: The “X-Axis Rating”, “Y-Axis Rating”, “X-Axis Grade” and “Y-Axis Grade” fields are shown as display only, if this page is launched from the view screen of preceding UI’s.

The system displays the following in the “9 Box Rating Details” group box:

X-Axis Description	The description of the x-axis.
Y-Axis Description	The description of the y-axis.

Enter the following details in the “9 Box Rating Details” group box:

Remarks

Any remarks or comments regarding the 9 box rating details.

Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the 9 box rating details.

The system saves the 9 box rating details.

Note: This button is not visible if this page is launched from the view screen of preceding UI’s.

On save and refresh, the 9 Box color graph at the right-hand corner of the page is updated and indicates the box where the employee is rated.

Note: If the grade display / entry format is set as "Both", then the graph is shown along with the rating % & grades as coordinates. If the format is "Rating %", then the graph is displayed with the rating details. If the format is set as "Grade", then based on the rating % range, the corresponding grade is plotted in the graph.
