Using online help

The “Record Employee Self Appraisal” page appears.

The system displays the following details

Appraisal Admin Unit

The Appraisal Admin Unit is displayed from the previous page.

Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user.

Employment Unit

 The employment unit of the selected employee.

Employee

The employee code and name of the employee for whom the appraisal was performed in the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page.

Assignment No.

The assignment number of the employee.

Joining Date

The date of joining of the employee

Appraisal Type

The type of appraisal performed for the employee. It could be one of the following:

  • Annual Appraisal

  • Confirmation Appraisal

  •  Contract End Appraisal

  • Any other user-defined through quick codes

Confirmation Date

 The date on which the employee was confirmed in the organization.

Appraisal Calendar Code

 The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls.

Calendar Short description

A short description of the appraisal calendar.

Period From

The start date of the calendar.

Period To

The end date of the calendar.

Parameter Category

The parameter category defined at the Employee level

Weightage Computation Level

The weightage computation level defined for the appraisal calendar and Parameter Category mapped to the Employee.

Employee Appraisal Status

The status of the employee’s appraisal. It can be one of the following:

  • Pending: The appraiser is yet to appraise the employee

  • Completed: The appraiser has completed the appraisal for the employee. In other words, the appraiser has marked the “Have you completed Appraising' flag as 'Yes'.

  • In-progress: The appraiser has started the appraisal for the employee but not completed it yet

To enter performance evaluation details

The “Performance Evaluation” multiline displays the following

Objective Group

The objective group from which you require to import objectives for self appraisal.

Objective Type

The type of an objective from which you require to import objectives for self appraisal.

Objective Description

A brief description of each objective. Tell me more.

Objective Detailed Description (Desired Outcome/Targets)

A detailed description of the objective.

Appraiser Code

The employee code of the appraiser who evaluated the employee on the objective.

Appraiser Name

The name of he appraiser.

Employment Unit

The employment unit to which the appraiser belongs.

Unit of Measure

The unit of measure of the quantitative target.

Quantitative Target

The quantitative target defined for the objective group and type.

Self Quantitative Achievement

The self quantitative achievement of the employee against this objective, as free text.

Self Achievement %

The self quantitative achievement of the employee against this objective specified in percentage.

Achievement

The employee’s achievement against this objective, as free text.

Weightage

 A number to indicate the weightage assigned to the objective, with respect to the other objectives listed in the multiline. See example .

Self Rating

The self rating of an employee against this objective.

Rate Grade

 The rate grade that indicates the performance of the employee for this objective.

System Rating

The system rating applicable for the objectives.

System Rate Grade

The system rate grade that indicates the performance of the employee for this objective.

The self rating of an employee against this objective.

To enter other duties/projects undertaken

Objective Group

From the drop-down list box, select the objective group from which you require to import objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in "Record Appraisal Objective Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar in the multiline. The system displays "Blank" by default on launch of the page.

Objective Type

From the drop-down list box, select the type of an objective from which you require to import objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in "Record Appraisal Objective Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar in the multiline. The system displays "Blank" by default on launch of the page.

Assignments Undertaken

Each assignment undertaken by the employee during the period of the appraisal calendar, which needs to be evaluated. This is to be entered as free text.

Desired Outcomes/Targets

The desired outcomes/targets expected of the employee, for the assignment. This is to be entered as free text.

Appraiser Code

From the drop-down list box, select the employee code of the appraiser who evaluated the employee on the assignment

Appraiser Name

When you select the employee code of the appraiser from the “Appraiser Code” field, the system displays the name of the appraiser .

Employment Unit

When you select the employee code of the appraiser from the “Appraiser Code” field, the system displays the employment unit to which the appraiser belongs

Weightage

Enter a number to indicate the weightage assigned to the assignment, with respect to the other assignments you enter in the multiline. See example below

Achievement

Enter the achievement of the employee, for the assignment. This is to be entered as free text

Rating Pattern

The rating pattern applicable for this objective.

Self Rating

The self rating of an employee against this objective.

Rate Grade

Enter the rate grade that indicates the performance of the employee for this assignment.

Weighted Score %

The weighted score of the employee for this objective.

Remarks

Any remarks or comments regarding the other duties or projects undertaken details.

Attach Supporting Document

Any supporting document to be attached for this objective.

To compute the weightages for objectives and projects

Both multilines display the following, for each objective and for each assignment

Weightage (in %)

The weightage assigned to the objective or assignment, in percentage. Example.

To compute the overall appraisal rating

The system displays the following

Overall Appraiser Rating

The overall rating for the employee, by the appraiser.

Overall Appraiser Rating Grade

The overall rating grade for the employee, by the appraiser.

Specific Achievements

The specific achievements of the appraise, by self. This is to be entered as free text.

To save without completing the self- appraisal details

The system saves the unfinished details. At any time before the “Valid Upto” date of the appraisal calendar, the employee can retrieve self-appraisal details and complete them.

To complete and save the self-appraisal details

The employee will not be able to change the details, after the “Submit” pushbutton is selected.

To allow the administrator to edit the completed self-appraisal
