Evaluating employee for potentials

Ensure that you have completed the employee’s appraisal in the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page, and selected the “Save” pushbutton.
Select the “Potential Evaluation” link from the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page.

The system displays the following details from the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page:

Appraisal Admin Unit	The Appraisal Admin Unit is displayed from the previous page..
Date Format	The date format that is applicable to the login user.
Employment Unit	The employment unit of the employee.
Employee	The employee code and name of the employee for whom the appraisal was performed in the “Perform Employee Appraisal” page.
Assignment No.	The assignment number of the employee.
Joining Date	The date of joining of the employee
Confirmation Date	The date on which the employee was confirmed in the organization.
Appraisal Type	The type of appraisal performed for the employee. It could be one of the following: Annual Appraisal Confirmation Appraisal Contract End Appraisal Any other user-defined through quick codes
Appraisal Calendar Code	The code of the appraisal calendar in which the employee’s appraisal falls.
Calendar Short Description	A short description of the appraisal calendar.
Period From	The start date of the calendar.
Period To	The end date of the calendar.
Appraiser’s Employment Unit	The employment unit of the appraiser.
Appraiser	The employee code of the appraiser
Employee Appraisal Status	The status of the employee’s appraisal. It can be one of the following: Pending: The appraiser is yet to appraise the employee Completed: The appraiser has completed the appraisal for the employee. In other words, the appraiser has marked the “Have you completed Appraising' flag as 'Yes'. In-progress: The appraiser has started the appraisal for the employee but not completed it yet

To evaluate employees on potentials

Enter some or all of the following

Potential	From the drop-down list box, select the potential against which the employee must be evaluated
Details/Comments	Enter comments or details, to describe the employee’s ranking or performance for this potential
Rating	Enter the rating, to evaluate the employee for this potential. Help available.
Rate Grade	Enter the grade, to evaluate the employee for this potential. Help available.

Select the “Compute Overall Appraisal Rating” pushbutton.

The system computes and displays the following

Overall Appraiser Rating	A number to indicate the overall appraiser rating of the employee.
Overall Appraiser Rating Grade	The grade that indicates the overall appraiser-rating grade of the employee.

Select the “Submit” pushbutton to save the details of the potentials evaluation.
