Recording disability information
Ensure that you are in the “Select Employee” page.
Enter the complete code of the employee in the “Employee Code” field.
Select the “Record Disability Information” hyperlink beside the employee code field.
The system displays the “Record Disability Information” page.
Use the search facility to fetch the required record in the multiline.
Select the data hyperlink on the name of the required employee.
The system displays the “Record Disability Information” page.
The system displays the following details.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
Employee |
The name and unique code of the employee. The system displays the value selected in the “Select Employee” page. |
Employee Type |
The type of the employee’s job. The employee type indicates if the selected employee is a regular employee or has been hired on contract for a limited period or is a consultant etc. |
Specify the following details in the “Disability Information” multiline.
Note: For a new military information record, the fields and drop-down list boxes will be blank. For an existing record, the system displays the values specified previously.
Disability |
The name of the disability, for example, eye injury, knee dislocation, head injury etc. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. The system lists in the drop-down list box, the user defined disability descriptions from the quick codes component. |
Disability From |
The date from which the employee is affected with the stated disability. |
Disability To |
The date till which the employee is affected with the stated disability. |
Extent |
The extent to which the disability affects the employee’s performance at work. Specify if the disability is complete or only partial. The system displays the values such as, “Complete” or “Partial” in the drop-down list box. Select the required value. |
Temporary |
The nature of the disability, whether temporariy or permanent. From the drop-down list box, select the required value, either “Yes” or “No”. “Yes” indicates the disability is only temporary, “No” indicates it is of a permanent nature. |
Assessed |
Indicates if the disability has been medically assessed or otherwise. From the drop-down list box, select the required value, either “Yes” or “No”. “Yes” indicates the disability has been assessed medically, “No” indicates otherwise. |
Concessions |
The concessions that can be granted to an employee based on the details specified for the corresponding disability. For example, an employee with a minor injury to the hand might temporarily be exempted from work that involves the use of his injured hand. Specify the concessions in the free text field. |
Select the “Save Disability Information” pushbutton to save the details entered or modifications made.
