Enter the complete code of the employee in the “Employee Code” field.
Select the “Record Language Proficiency Information” hyperlink beside the employee code field.
The system displays the “Record Language Proficiency Information” page.
Use the search facility to fetch the required record in the multiline.
Select the data hyperlink on the name of the required employee.
The system displays the “Record Language Proficiency Information” page.
The system displays the following details.
Employee Code Setup Unit |
The organization unit in which employee code parameters are defined for the login organization unit. |
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. More Details. |
Employee Code |
The name and unique code of the employee. The system displays the value selected in the “Select Employee” page. |
Employee Type |
The type of the employee’s job. The employee type indicates if the selected employee is a regular employee or has been hired on contract for a limited period or is a consultant etc. |
You can use the “Language Proficiency Details” multiline to record or modify the language proficiency details of the employee.
Enter the following language proficiency details in the “Language Proficiency Details” multiline.
Note: By default, for a new language proficiency information record, the fields and drop-down list boxes will be blank. For an existing record, the system displays the values specified previously.
Language |
The language in which the employee is proficient to read, write, speak etc. From the drop-down list box, select the required language. |
Proficiency |
The proficiency details for the corresponding language. You can specify whether the employee can read, write and speak or if the proficiency type is read and write or speak only etc. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
Can Conduct Business |
Specify if the employee is proficient in the language to conduct business or otherwise. Select “Yes” or “No” from the drop-down list box. “Yes” indicates the employee can conduct business in the corresponding language, “No” indicates otherwise. |
Mother Tongue |
Specify if the corresponding language is the employee’s mother tongue or otherwise. Select “Yes” or “No” from the drop-down list box. “Yes” indicates that the corresponding language is the mother tongue, “No” indicates otherwise. |
Comments |
The comments related to the details entered. |
Select the Book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
Use this page to record language proficiency information of the employee.
