Through this activity you can view the information with regard to the qualifications of an employee.
Selecting an Employee File: You can select the record either by directly entering the complete employee code or using the search criteria option. In the search option, you can specify search criteria, with or without wild cards, for a range of employee details. The system fetches the employee records that match the combination of search criteria specified. To increase the probability of finding the closest matching records, you can specify search criteria for as many details as possible. For example, you can search for the employee file based on the employee code, name of the employee, date of joining and the employee type details. You can look for employees whose employee type is “Contract” or the files of employees who joined the organization after or before a particular date etc. Specifying search criteria for more number of details will narrow your search to the closest matching records.
To use the search facility, specify search criteria for any or all of the following details:
The entire or partial range of characters contained in the employee code.
The entire or partial range of characters contained in the name of the employee.
The entire or partial range of characters contained in the probable date on which the employee joined the organization.
The entire or partial range of characters contained in the probable date before which the employee joined the organization.
The employee type viz., Regular, Contract, Trainee, Consultant etc.
The system fetches the records that match the combination of search criteria specified from which you could select the required record. If you do not specify search criteria, the system fetches all the employee file records available for the specified Employee Code Setup Unit.
Following selection of the required employee record, you can view the information with regard to the employee’s qualifications.
Qualifications: Qualifications refer to the academic qualifications of the employee. The qualification details you can view are,
The unique code of the qualification. The system also displays the values for the description, level, specialization and qualification type details, applicable for the specified qualification code.
The insitution in which the employee acquired the qualification.
The major and minor academic subjects pursued by the employee.
The duration of study and the month and year of passing.
The Grade Point Average and the rank and class scored by the employee.
The nature of study, for example, part time, full time or through correspondence etc.
The effective period of the qualification.
The importance assigned to the qualification in relation to the other qualifications possessed by the employee.
These details provide a comprehensive view of the qualifications of the employee.
