The Employee File: Through this activity you can edit an employee file. The employee file is a repository for recording information pertaining to the various personal aspects of the employee. A separate file is created for each employee. The basic personal and identification details of the employee are recorded in the employee file to create a unique identity. These details can be used edited or viewed at a later point of time.
Editing Employee File: The unique employee code recorded in the employee file makes the record exclusive to the employee having the specified code. As such, the employee code cannot be edited.
You can edit the following details:
The employee type which indicates whether the employee is a regular or contract employee etc.
The name of the company to which the employee belongs.
The complete name of the employee and the name by which he/she is generally is known .
The date and time on which the employee joined the organization.
The reference number of the employee’s application.
The comments entered previously pertaining to the details.
The changes made will be updated in the record, following authorization of the record.
Deleting Employee File: To delete the employee file, you must submit a request for deletion. If the authorizer concerned authorizes the request, the system deletes the record.
Status: The authorization status of the record indicates whether the record has been authorized, is yet to be authorized or has been rejected. In case of rejection, you can view the reason for which the record has been rejected.
You can edit the comments entered previously and enter new comments also.

What you can do in this activity
Who can select an Employee File?
Any user, who has an authorization to perform this activity, can select an employee file for making the required modifications. If the permission to edit the employee file before employment details are entered is restricted to the user who created the employee file in the process parameters, then the login user must be the same as the user who created the employee file.
