Ensure that you are in the “Select Scale for Editing” page.
Enter the complete code of the scale in the “Scale Code” field.
Select the “Edit Scale” hyperlink beside the scale code field.
The system displays the “Edit Scale” page.
Use the search facility to fetch the required scale record in the multiline.
Select the data hyperlink on the required scale.
The system displays the “Edit Scale” page.
The system displays the following details on top of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Organization Structure Unit |
The organization structure unit in which the “Organization Structure” component is deployed. |
Scale Code |
The unique code of the scale. |
Language |
The language you selected in the previous page is displayed. From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to retrieve the record in the selected language. |
You can edit the following details of the scale.
Note: By default, the system displays the current values for the details.
Scale Short Description |
The brief description of the scale. |
Scale Long Description |
The more elaborate description of the scale. |
Inactive |
Indicate whether you want to activate or deactivate the scale. If you choose to activate the scale, it means it will be available for use in other activities. Select the check box only if you want to deactivate the scale. To activate the scale, leave the check box blank. |
You can add a new currency in which the salary should be paid. To add a new currency,
Select the required currency from the drop-down list box.
Select the “Add Currency” pushbutton beside.
The system adds the new currency.
Use the “Modify Scale” multiline to specify the currency in which the salary corresponding to the scale should be paid.
Currency |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of currency in which the salary must be paid. |
Scale Values |
The values applicable to the corresponding scale. The system displays the scale values when you select the “Save” pushbutton at the bottom of the page. For example, if the system displays 1000-100-2000, it indicates that 1000 is the lower limit of the scale, 100 is the increment value and 2000 is the upper limit of the scale. Note that the system will not save the record unless a value is entered for the increment. The increment value should be either zero or a positive number. The currency for the scale should be Singapore dollars. |
Comments |
The additional comments you want to enter pertaining to the details specified. |
Select the book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Save in Language |
The language you selected in the previous page is displayed. From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to translate the record to this language. |
Applicable to Organizational Units |
Choose the organization unit to which the grade set details will be made available. The options in the drop-down list box are described below. |
