At the outset, you are to specify the search criteria by which employees can be retrieved. After the system retrieves the records of employees that satisfy your search criteria, you can
View the leave details of each employee, such as the type of leave, the number of leave units to which he or she is entitled, and the start and end dates of the period.
Authorize the number of leave units to which the employee will be entitled, for the period. The number of authorized leave units can be less than, equal to or greater than the number of leave units for which the employee will be entitled.

Authorization depends on the following:
If the Workflow Configurator requires authorization, the system will require the processed leave entitlement units to be authorized before these leave units are credited to the employee’s leave balance. If the Workflow Configurator does not require authorization, the system will directly credit the processed leave entitlement units to the employee’s leave balance.
Changing an employee’s entitlement units when authorizing is allowed, only if the parameter “Override Entitlement Units” has been set to “Yes” in the “Set Leave Parameters” activity of the Leave Definition component.
