Specifying parameter values
Select “Specify Parameter Values" link.
The “Specify Parameter Values” page appears. The system displays the following:
Data Transfer Unit |
The organization unit where the data transfer unit component is deployed. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the organization unit. Tell me more |
Interface Group Description |
The interface group description. |
Interface Type |
The interface type displayed is either “upload” or “download”, as interfaces are grouped mainly by two interface types: upload or download. |
Interface Code |
The unique code of the interface. |
Interface Description |
The description of the interface. |
Interface Method |
Indicates the method of data transfer in the interface. The values that may be displayed are BCP(Bulk Copy Processing), ASCII and direct. Bulk copy processing indicates the contents are copied as a bulk. ASCII indicates that the contents are transferred based on row delimiters and column delimiters. External system will directly insert records to conversion table. At present only ASCII interface method is operative. |
The system displays the following.
Parameter Code |
The unique code of the parameter . Examples empcode, empname, sal, P.F etc. |
Parameter Name |
The name of the parameter. Examples employee code, employee name, salary, provident fund etc. |
Type |
The data type of the parameter. Examples are char, decimal, datetime, float, image, integer, money, numeric, text, varchar etc. |
Length |
The length of the value of the parameter. |
Default |
The default value. You can edit the default value of the parameter. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the parameter values entered above.
