Specifying parameters for download

Select “Specify Parameters For Download” link.
The “Specify Parameters For Download” page appears. The system displays the following:
Date format |
The date format applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
Interface Definition Unit |
The organization unit where the Data Transfer Setup component is deployed. |
Interface Group Description |
The interface group description. |

The “Interface Type“ field displays either “upload” or “download”, depending on whether the interface group type is Upload or Download. |
Interface Code |
The unique code of the interface. |
Interface Description |
The description of the interface. |
Interface Method |
The method of data transfer used by the interface. It will be one of the following: “BCP“ (Bulk Copy Processing), “ASCII“ or “Direct“. |
To enter the download parameters
Select or enter the download parameters in the multiline.
Parameter Code |
Enter the code of each field that will serve as an input for filtering the data to be retrieved . Examples of parameters are empcode, empname, sal and PF. |
Parameter Name |
Enter the name of the field. Examples are employee code, employee name, salary and Provident Fund. |
Type |
Enter the data type of the parameter. Examples of data types are char, decimal, datetime, float, image, integer, money, numeric, text and varchar. |
Length |
Specify the length of the parameter. |
Default |
Specify the default value of the parameter |
This page is used to specify the input parameters, for filtering the data to be downloaded.
For example, from a specific employee table, we need to fetch only those employees whose ages are greater than 50 and whose salaries are less than Rs 30000. The input parameters for filtering data, in this example, are Age and Salary.
