Classifying cities
Select “City Classification” hyperlink from the left pane.
The “City Classification” page appears. The system displays the following.
Tax Setup Unit |
The name of the tax setup unit for which the city classification must be defined. Tell me more |
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
To specify a city classification
Select the following.

From the drop-down list box select a classification to which various cities must be mapped. The drop-down list box lists all the classifications defined in the quick code component of HRMS General Masters. |
By default, the system will display with “Select” value. If only one value is defined, the system defaults the same. |
As you specify a “City Classification”, the system lists all the cities that have been mapped to the classification, if the details have been entered earlier. You can modify the same and save the details. If you are entering the details for the first time, the system displays blank values in the multiline.
You can map various cities to a city classification.

From the drop-down list box select the city that must be mapped to the specified classification. The drop-down list box lists all the cities defined in the quick code component of HRMS General Masters. |
The system displays “Select”, by default. If only one value is defined, the system defaults the same. | |

Note: You must map at least one city for each classification. Also you cannot map a city to different classifications.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details specified.
Select the city that must be deleted from the selected city classification by checking in the corresponding “Select” column of the multiline.
Select the Delete icon from the multiline toolbar.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to delete the record from the database and save the modified record.
Select the Book icon beside the comments field. The system will display a dialog box containing comments, if entered earlier.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details specified. After the details are saved, the system will refresh the page with the same.
