The “View Tax Declarations” page appears. The system displays the following.

Employment Unit

The employment unit to which you are mapped.

Date format

The date format applicable to the login user. Tell me more

Tax Year

The tax year for which the tax declarations of the employees must be authorized. By default, the system displays the current tax year. The drop-down list box lists all the tax years defined in the “Create Tax Year” activity.

 

Current tax year indicates the year in which the system date falls within the start and end date of the tax year. If such tax year is not defined, the system will default with “Select” value.

The system displays the employee code, name, PAN and all the declarations made by the employee for the selected tax year.

Employee Code

The unique code to identify the employee

Employee Name

The name of the employee

PAN

The Permanent Account Number (PAN) of the employee

It also displays all the tax declarations made by the employee for the tax year in the “Record Income Tax Data” or “Employee Tax Details” activity and are authorized.

In the “House Rent Details” multiline, the following details are displayed.

From Month

The month from which the employee declared as house rent paid.

To Month

The month until which the rent is paid

City

The city name in which the employee paid rent.

Amount Declared

The amount paid towards house rent as declared by the employee.

Proof Submitted For

The value for which the proof is submitted.

The declarations made towards children’s education are displayed in the “Children Education Details” group box.

No. of Children for Education Allowance

The number of children for whom the employee claims education allowance.

No. of Children for Hostel Allowance

The number of children for whom the employee claims for hostel allowance.

In the “Exemption U/S 10” group box, the system retrieves the exemption items declared for exemptions in accordance with section 10 of Income Tax Act.

Exception Items

The item for which the employee has claimed exemptions.

Amount Earned (Outside Payroll)

The amount earned by the employee that is not included in his/her regular payroll. Example, terminal benefits, superannuation, etc.

Amount Exempted

The maximum amount that can be exempted.

The following details that are displayed in the “Exemption U/S 80 group box to avail tax exemptions.

Deduction Items

The deduction item for which the employee has declared exemptions from tax.

Amount Declared

The amount declared for the item.

Proof Submitted For

The value of the deduction item for which the proof is submitted

In the “Rebates U/S 88” group box, the system displays the rebate items for which made declarations to avail tax rebates.

Rebate Items

The name of the rebate item.

Amount Declared

The amount for which the employee has sought rebate

Proof Submitted For

The amount for which the employee has submitted proof.

In the “Income From Previous Employer” group box, the system displays the list of tax details pertaining to previous employment.

Employer’s Name

The name of the previous employer.

Total Salary

The total salary earned in the previous employment for the tax year.

Professional Tax Deducted

The amount of professional tax deducted by the previous employer.

Provident Fund

The amount contributed towards provident fund.

LIC Premium

The premium paid towards the LIC policy.

Income Tax Deducted

The total tax deducted for the tax year by the previous employer.

In the “Income from Other Sources” group box, the system displays the income earned you earned from other sources, like the capital gains, lotteries, income from house property, etc.

Source of Income

The source from which the income is earned

Amount
