The “Form 12B - Previous Employment Details” page appears.

The system displays the following.

Employee Tax Data Unit

The employee tax data unit selected in the previous page.

Date Format

The date format applicable to the employee.

Employment Unit

The employment unit selected in the previous page.

Date

The system displays the current date.

Employee Code

The unique code of the logged in employee.

Employee Name

The name of the logged in employee.

Company

The name of the company.

The system displays the instructions for authorizing previous employment details in the “Instructions” group box.

Tax Year

The tax year for which the tax declarations of the employees must be recorded. By default, the system displays the current tax year. The drop-down list box lists all the tax years defined in the “Create Tax Year” activity.

 

Current tax year indicates the year in which the system date falls within the start and end date of the tax year. If such tax year is not defined, the system will default with “Select” value.

The system displays the following.

Status

The status of the previous employer details.

Employer’s Name

The name of the previous employer.

Employer’s PAN

The Permanent Account Number (PAN) of the employer.

Employer’s TAN

The Tax Account Number (PAN) of the employer.

Employment From

The date from which the logged in employee worked in the organization.

Employment To

The date until which the logged in employee worked in the organization.

Select Previous Employer

From the drop-down list box, select the previous employer to authorize the salary details. The system loads the drop-down list box with the employer names entered in the “Employer Details” multiline.

Salary Details

The salary details as mentioned in the Form 16 applicable for the selected previous employer. Example, Income Tax Deducted, Provident Fund.

Submitted Amount

The amount against each entity/ element of the salary details.

Employee Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to the previous employment income details.

Authorized Amount

The amount authorized against the submitted amount.

Processor Remarks

Any remarks related to the previous employment income details.

The system updates the Status to “Draft”.

The system updates the Status to “Submitted”.

Note: It is mandatory to select the checkbox to certify the logged in employee has furnished all the previous employer’s details before clicking the “Submit” pushbutton.

To authorize the employee’s declaration

The system updates the Status to “Authorized”.

Note: Only the authorizer can authorize the previous employment details.

To edit/view the previous employment details

The system retrieves the previous employer details in the “Employer Details” multiline.

Note: You can edit the previous employment details of “Draft” status.
