Getting help on selecting an employee
Select the help icon beside the “Employee” field.
The “Help on Employee” page appears. The system displays the following.
Employment Unit |
The employment unit selected in the previous page. |
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the employee code or the employee name. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that employee code or name contains.
You are to specify the code of the payroll, the code of the payset and the number of the process period. To narrow the find further, you can also specify the range of employee codes of the employees.
Enter the following search criteria values, in one or both of the following fields.
Employee Code |
To view the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the employee codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, E1*, will search for those employee codes that start with E1. Other examples are *E1, E*1 and E1*. |
Assignment No. |
To view the list of employees mapped to a specific assignment number type in the number of the assignment. |
Position Title |
To view the list of employees mapped to a specific position title, type in the starting characters of the position title. |
Department Description |
To view the list of employees mapped to a specific department description type in the starting character(s) or the specific characters of the department description. |
Job Title |
To view list of employees having a specified job title type in the starting character(s) or any specific characters of the job title. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, M1*, will search for those job titles that start with M1. Other examples are *M1,M*1 and M1*. |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy
this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected employment unit.
The multiline displays the following details of the employees that satisfy your search criteria.
Employee Code |
The unique code identifying the employee |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee |
Assign. |
The assignment number of the employee. |
Position Title |
The position title mapped to an employee. |
Department |
The name of the department to which the employee is mapped. |
Job Title |
The job title given to an employee |
Employment Unit |
The employment unit to which an employee is mapped. |
From the multiline, select an employee record by checking the “Select” box contained in the record.
Select the “OK” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
The employee you selected appears in the “Employee Code” field of the previous page
