Setting HR options

Select “Basic HR setup” from the left pane
The “Set HR options” page appears
Specify the following details in the “HR Set Up Unit Details” group box.
HR Set Up Unit |
The setup unit in which the HR setup component is deployed. |
Parameter |
The parameter you want to set for the selected component. For example, if the component selected is “Competency”, the system lists in this drop-down list box all the process parameters that you can set for that component, that is, if the competencies should be defined at the element level or otherwise, the maximum value that can be set to the competencies etc. |
Value |
The value you want to assign to the specified parameter for the selected set up unit. For example, if you select “Employee Movements” from the “HR Setup Unit” drop-down list box, the system lists in the “Parameter” drop-down list box, the predefined parameters for the “Employee Movements” component, that is, “Allow For Demotion”. |
To save the record
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Set Employee Code Options” link at the bottom of the page to set the employee code options.
Select the “Set Position Control ID Series” link at the bottom of the page to maintain the details pertaining to the position details of an organization.
Select the “Specify Business Rules” link at the bottom of the page to specify the business rules relating to an organization.
Select the “Maintain Business Rules” link at the bottom of the page to modify the business rules relating to the organization.
Select the “Maintain Field Literals Information” link at the bottom of the page to modify the field literal of the business process
Select the “Populate Master Information to New Org. Units” link at the bottom of the page to map the master information to new organization units.
Select the “View HR Options” link at the bottom of the page to view the HR options.
