Select “Set Position Control ID Series” at the bottom of the "Set HR Options" page.
The “Set Position ID Series” page appears.
Specify the following details.

HR Set Up Unit |
The organization unit in which the HR Setup parameter component is deployed. |
|
Position Control ID Generation Method |
The generation method you want to set for the position control ID series viz., “Automatic” or “Manual”. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
|
Length of Position Control ID |
The total character length of the position control ID series. The total length comprises the length of the alphabetic prefix, if any, and the numeric part of the series. For example, if the total length is set as 7 of which a character length of 3 is assigned to the prefix, the numeric part of the series will have a character length of 4. |

Position Control ID Prefix |
Indicate if the position control ID series should have a prefix or otherwise. Select the check box to indicate the series should have a prefix. Leave the check box blank to indicate otherwise. |

Length of Position Control ID Series |
Indicate the length of the Position Control ID series (if the position control is set as ‘ON’) |
Specify the following details in the multiline.

Series |
The name of the Position Control ID Series |

Start Value |
The starting value of the position control ID series. |

Current Value |
The current value of the position control ID series. For example, if you specify the start value as 7 and if three position control IDs are generated by the system for assigning to three vacant posts, the system increments the start value by 1 three times and displays the current value as 10. |

Status |
Select “Active” or “Inactive” from the drop-down list box to indicate if you want to make the details active or inactive. |

Comments |
The comments you want to enter with regard to the specified details. |
To enter comments
Select the Book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box.
You can enter your comments in the dialog box.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details.
