Through this activity, you can screen the resumes, both general resumes and the resumes received for specific vacancies. This enables short listing applicants for the next levels of processing. You can shortlist the resumes either with or without having specific screening criteria.
The organization can have the choice of deciding who should perform the screening, whether the recruiter, or requestor or both. Also, the recruiter or requestor can specify the details of the person who should perform the next level of screening, if he/she deems it necessary. Likewise, the resumes can be short listed through multiple levels of screening before a final short list of competent applicants is made.
Note that the system offers the flexibility of performing screening for internal requests from the employees and external resumes either separately or simultaneously.
To screen resumes, you are to specify,
The category of resumes, for example, general resumes or rejected resumes from which you want to short list the required resumes. You can specify the category as general resumes or resumes which have been rejected previously or resumes received against other requisitions or even a combination of these. When you specify the other details like the qualifications or number of years of experience on which you want to screen resumes, the system fetches the matching resumes from the category of resumes which you have specified.
The short listing criteria like the qualifications, number of years of work experience, age group to which the applicant belongs, the industry type sector in which the applicant is currently employed etc. Note that to narrow your screening to the closest matching resumes, you can specify the maximum number of details against which the resumes can be short-listed.
The number of resumes that should be fetched from the screening. For example, if you specify the value as ten, the system fetches ten resumes that match the combination of screening criteria that you specify.
If the resumes should undergo another level of screening or otherwise and if so the details of the employee who should do the screening at the next level.
The screening status for the resumes. The screening status can be “Short listed”, “Rejected”, “Deleted”, “Transfer to General Resume” and “Next Level Screening Required”. Thus only those resumes which have been marked, as “Next Level of Screening Required” will be available for the next level of screening.
Any additional remarks about the short listing or rejections etc., of a resume.
Note that the system enables you to save the screening criteria and use it whenever necessary
While screening if a particular Resume is selected as Quick-Hire then that applicant is directly inducted without undergoing any further hire-process.
