Ensure that you are in the “Help on Scale” page.
The system displays the following on the top of the page.

Date |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
|
For Org. Unit Group |
The organization unit group for which the scale is applicable. |
To select a scale using search criteria
In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records. Optionally, you can enter values in all the fields to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.

Scale Code |
To view all the scale codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these grade codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: Scale*. |

Scale Short Description |
To view the short description of the scale containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these scale short descriptions. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: *Scale, will search for those scale short descriptions that end with Scale, such as HDB Scale. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the
system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
available.
The system displays the following details in the “Search Results” multiline that satisfy the search criteria specified.

Scale Code |
The unique code that identifies the scale. |

Scale Short Description |
The brief description of the scale. |
Click on the “Select” checkbox corresponding to the required scale code. After selecting the required record from the multiline, select the “OK” pushbutton.
The selected scale code is displayed in the “Scale” field, and the scale short description is displayed besides the “Scale” field in the previous page.
