Selecting a qualification for viewing

Language

The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity.

 

From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to view the record.

Select the qualification, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.

To select through Direct Entry

Use this method if you know the complete code of the qualification.

To select through Search Criteria

Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the qualification code or nothing at all. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.

To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the qualification code or description contain. Optionally, you can enter the “Qualification Level”, “Specialization” and “Qualification Type” fields, to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. In case you do not know anything, just click on search without entering any fields. The entire set of records will be fetched

Qualification Code

To view the qualification codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the qualification codes followed by the wild card *.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, QFN*, will search for those qualification codes that start with QFN. Other examples are  *QFN1, Q*1 and QFN*

Qualification Description

To view all the qualification descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the description followed by the wild card *.

 

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards.

Qualification Level

Indicate whether the qualification pertains to a graduate,  postgraduate degree or diploma . From the drop-down list box, select the required value.

Specialization

Indicate the specialization in which the qualification is obtained, for example, Science or Engineering . From the drop- down list box, select the required value.

Qualification Type

Indicate whether the qualification is a basic criteria to the job or otherwise. From the drop-down list box, select the required value to indicate the qualification type.

Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are applicable to the selected HR General Information Unit.

Qualification Code

The unique code of the Qualification

Qualification Description

The description of the qualification, for example, MBA or ‘Master of Business Administration’,.

Qualification Level

Indicates whether the qualification pertains to a graduate, postgraduate or diploma .

Specialization

Indicates the specialization in which the qualification is obtained, for example, Science or  Engineering .

Qualification Type

Indicates whether the qualification is a  basic criteria to the job or otherwise.

Active

The status of the qualification details, whether active or inactive.
