Select the “Record Additional Masters” link from the “Select Master ID to Record Additional Masters” page or from the “Select Master ID to Authorize Additional Masters” page.
The “Record Additional Masters” page appears.
To record additional masters
Specify the following fields to create a new master.
Alternatively, the system displays the values in the following fields on selection of a master in the “Select Master ID to Record Additional Masters” page.
HR General Information Unit |
From the drop down list, select the HR General Information unit. |
Master ID |
The unique code that identifies the master record. |
Master Description |
The short description of the master record. |
Applicable OU |
From the drop down list, select the organization unit in which the master is valid. Select “All” to indicate you the master is applicable in all the organization for which you have privileges. |
Key 1 |
The first key field of the master. Enter “NA” to indicate this information is not required for the master. |
Key 2 |
The second key field of the master. Enter “NA” to indicate this information is not required for the master. |
Effective From |
The date from which the master becomes effective. |
Effective To |
The date till which the master remains effective. |
The system displays the following:
Authorization Status |
The status of authorization. |
Pending With |
The name of the person from whom the authorization is pending. |
Select the “Previous” pushbutton to view the previous changes, if any, made to the selected record.
If no previous record exists, the system will display the current record.
Note: When you click “Previous”, the system will display the previous record in the database, provided you had chosen “Update” in the “Modification Option” drop-down list box.
Select the “Next” pushbutton to view the next change of the record.
Enter the following details in the “Master Details” multiline.

To modify an existing master
Enter the following fields.

New Effective From |
The date from which the master information is available for use across the system. You must specify a new effective date only if you have selected “New” or “Update” in the “Modification Option” field. For a new or updated record, this date becomes the “Effective From” date. Further, the system sets the “Effective To” date of the record previous to the updated record to this date. |
Select “Save” to save the master information.
To delete a master record
Select the master you want to delete in the “Select Master ID to Record Additional Masters” page.
The system displays the details pertaining to the selected master in the “Record Additional Masters” page.
Select “Delete” pushbutton.
To record detailed Comments
Click the Book icon beside the “Comments” field.
A pop up window opens up.
Enter your comments.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the comments and close the window.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to close the window without saving the comments.
To authorize additional masters
Modify the following details in the header:
HR General Information Unit |
From the drop down list, select the HR General Information unit. |
Master ID |

To authorize a master record
Select the master you want to authorize in the “Select Master ID to Authorize Additional Masters” page.
The system displays the details pertaining to the selected master in the “Record Additional Masters” page.
Select "Authorize" pushbutton.
On Authorization the status of the record will be changed to “Authorized”.
To reject a master record
Select the master you want to reject in the “Select Master ID to Reject Additional Masters” page.
The system displays the details pertaining to the selected master in the “Record Additional Masters” page.
Select "Reject" pushbutton.
On Rejection the status of the record will be changed to “Rejected”.
