Selecting issue / return of property to record
Select the “Issue / Return of Property” option from the left pane.
The “Select Issue / Return of Property to Record” page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The date format defined for the login user in the “User Permissions”. Tell me more |
Select the employment unit for which you want to record the issue / return of property from the “Employment Unit” drop down list box.
Specify the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box” to identify the employee for whom you want to record issue / return of property.
Employee Code |
The code of the employee. To retrieve all employees whose employee codes contain a given set of characters, type in these characters in combination with wild cards. For example, if you type in “*123*”, the system retrieves all employee codes containing “123”. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. To retrieve all employees whose names contain a given set of characters, type in these characters in combination with wild cards. For example, if you type in “*123*”, the system retrieves all names containing “123”. |
Starter / Leaver |
From the drop down list box, select ¾ “Starter” to indicate the employee has recently joined the organization. |
¾ “Leaver” to indicate the employee is leaving / or has already left the organization. | |
From Date |
The start-date of the period during which the employee joined the organization, if “Starter” is selected in the “Starter / Leaver” field. The start-date of the period during which the employee leaves the organization, if “Leaver” is selected in the “Starter / Leaver” field. |
To Date |
The end-date of the period during which the employee joined the organization, if “Starter” is selected in the “Starter / Leaver” field. The end-date of the period during which the employee leaves the organization, if “Leaver” is selected in the “Starter /Leaver” field. |
Department |
The long description of the department in which the employee works. To retrieve all departments whose descriptions contain a given set of characters, type in these characters in combination with wild cards. For example, if you type in “*123*”, the system retrieves all departments containing “123”. |
Position Title |
The long description of the position the employee occupies. To retrieve all positions whose titles contain a given set of characters, type in these characters in combination with wild cards. For example, if you type in “*123*”, the system retrieves all positions containing “123”. |
Item Type |
From the drop down list box, select the type of the item to be issued or returned. |
Item |
From the drop down list box, select the item to be issued or returned. |
Status |
From the drop down list box, select the status of the item request. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
The system displays the following details of employees who match search criteria in the multiline:
Employee Code |
The code of the employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Employment Unit |
The employment unit to which the employee belongs. |
Starter / Leaver |
¾ “Starter” indicates the employee has recently joined the organization. |

¾ “Leaver” indicates the employee will shortly leave the organization. |
Date of Joining |
The date on which the employee joined the organization. |
Date of Termination |
The date on which the employee leaves the organization. |
Department |
The long description of the department in which the employee works / worked. |
Position Title |
The long description of the position, the employee occupies / occupied. |
Item Type |
The type of the item to be issued or returned. |
Item |
The item to be issued or returned. |
Status |
The status of the item request: “Requested”. |
Select the hyperlink in the “Employee Name” column for the required employee.
The “Issue / Return of Property” page appears with details of the selected employee.
