Selecting employee to record disciplinary action
Select the “Record Disciplinary Action” link from the left pane.
The “Select Employee to Record Disciplinary Action” page appears.
The system displays the following
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Supervisor |
The employee code of the logged on supervisor. |
From the “Disciplinary Action Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which the disciplinary action is applicable.
To select through Direct Entry
Enter the following
Employee Code |
The employee code of the employee against whom the disciplinary action is initiated. |
Assignment No. |
The employee’s assignment number. |
Select “Record Disciplinary Action” link in the “Select Employee to Record Disciplinary Action” page.
The “Record Disciplinary Action” page appears.
To select through Search Criteria
In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Employment Unit |
From the drop-down list, select the employment unit of the employee. This refers to the organization unit that holds the Employment Information component |
Employee Code |
To retrieve the records of all employees whose employee codes contain specific characters, type in the character(s) in any combination with wild cards. Example, ECC1*, will search for those employee codes that start with ECC1. Other examples are *ECC1 and EC*C1. |
Employee Name |
To retrieve the records of all employees whose employee names contain specific characters, type in the character(s) of these employee names in any combination with wild cards. Example, Rob*, will search for those employee names that start with Rob. Other examples are *Rob and R*b*. |
Assignment No. |
To retrieve the records of all employees with a specific assignment number, type in the assignment number. Alternatively, type in the digit(s) in any combination with wild cards. |
Department Short Description |
To retrieve the records of all the employees belonging to a specific department, type in the character(s) of this department in any combination with wild cards. |
Position Title |
To retrieve the records of all the employees holding a specific position title, type in the character(s) of this position title in any combination with wild cards. |
Job Title |
To retrieve the records of all the employees holding a specific job title, type in the character(s) of this job title in any combination with wild cards. |
Disciplinary Action No. |
To retrieve the records of all the employees whose disciplinary action number contains a specific string of alphanumeric characters, type in this string of character(s) in any combination with wild cards. Note that this field cannot be used as a search criteria filter, when the employee’s record is being retrieved for recording a new disciplinary action. After the disciplinary action has been recorded for the employee, and the disciplinary action number generated, the “disciplinary action no.” field can be subsequently used as a filter. |
Disciplinary Action Status |
To retrieve the records of all the employees whose status of disciplinary action is a given value, select this value from the drop-down list box. For example, if you want to retrieve the records of all employees for whom the status of disciplinary action is “Open”, select “Open“ from the drop-down list box. |

The system displays the following details of those employee records that satisfy your search criteria

The employee code of the employee |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee |
Assign. |
The assignment number of the employee. |
Department |
The department name of the employee. |
Position Title |
The position title of the employee. |
Job Title |
The job title of the employee. |
Disciplinary Action No. |
The unique disciplinary action number generated by the system when the disciplinary action record was submitted. |
Disciplinary Action Status |
The status of the disciplinary action can be one of the following: “Open or any user defined status The disciplinary action status can also be any other user-defined status. |
Select the hyperlinked “Employee Name.” field of the employee record for which disciplinary action must be recorded, in the multiline.
