Record Employee Salary Details - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can record the details of employee allowance. In this activity, you can select the employee and record the pay elements applicable to the employee. Further, you can compute the CTC(Cost to Company) for an employee.
You require selecting the employee before recording the pay element details.
Selecting an employee: You can select the record either by directly entering the complete employee code by using the search criteria option. In the search option, you can specify search criteria, with or without wild cards, for retrieving the employee details. The system fetches the employee records that match the combination of search criteria specified. Examples of search criteria include employee code and employee name. You can select the required employee record.
Recording the employee allowance details: You require selecting the pay elements applicable to the employee, using the Help option. The pay elements for each grade have been defined in the “Record Grade Based Salary Structure” activity of the “Organization Structure” component. Upon selecting the pay element, the system displays the following
The description of the pay element
The value against each pay element.
The frequency or the periodicity at which the amount will be paid against the pay element, this may be hourly/monthly/weekly.
The minimum and the maximum CTC specified for the grade.
The system computes the CTC, which is the summation of the earnings against each pay element.
You can edit the allowance details, if required.
