Selecting an employee to view salary details
Select “View Employee Salary Details” from left pane.
The “Select Employee Assignment to View Salary Details” page appears.
The system displays the following details at the top right of the page.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
Compensation Setup Unit |
The description of the setup unit in which it is deployed. Tell me more |
Specify the following detail.
Employment Unit |
The employment unit in which the employee is mapped. |
Select the employee, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete employee code of the required employee.
Enter the complete employee code of the employee whose salary details are viewed, in the “Employee Code” field.
Select the “View Employee Salary Details” hyperlink beside.
The “View Employee Salary Details” page appears. All details of the selected view are displayed.
To view salary details refer to the topic “Viewing Employee Salary Details”.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the employee code. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the views.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the employee code contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. To narrow your search to the closest matching views, you can also enter search criteria for other details such as, the name of the employee, the employee type to indicate if the he/she is a regular or contract employee etc., and the dates to indicate the probable period in which the employee joined.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Employee Code |
To view all the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee codes. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. ECC1*, will search for those employee codes that start with ECC1. Other examples are *ECC1, EC*C1 and ECC1*. | |
Employee Name |
To view all the employee names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee names. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Jonathan, type in JO*, to search for those employee names that start with JO. Other examples are *NATHAN, JO*AN, and JONATH*. | |
Assignment No |
Specify the assignment number. For help on specifying the assignment number for the particular employee, you can access the “Employment Information” component. |
Position Title |
To view all the position descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: *MANAGER, TRAINEE*. | |
Department |
To view all the departments containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: FIN*, ACC* etc. | |
Job Title |
To view all the job titles, type in the starting character or characters of these job title descriptions. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: PRGR*, DESIGN ENG*R etc. | |
Work Location |
To view all work locations containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: New , Pen*a etc. | |
Grade Set |
To view all the grade set descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: STAFF*, *SUPERVISOR. Other examples are as described for the “Department” field. | |
Grade |
To view all the grade descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: G*, *G. Other examples are as described for the “Department” field. | |
Employee Compensation |
From the drop-down list box select “Set” option to indicate that the system fetches all the employee views whose compensation details is already defined. Otherwise select “Not Set” option. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the views that satisfy
this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will
fetch the views satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and
select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the views that
are available for the selected employment unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the employee records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Employee Code |
The unique code of the employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee |
Assignment No |
The assignment number of the employee. |
Position Title |
The position of the employee |
Department |
The department to which the employee is mapped. |
Job Title |
The description of the job to which the employee is assigned. |
Work Location |
The location at which the employee works. |
Grade Set |
The grade set attached to the employee. |
Grade |
The grade to which the employee is mapped. |
Employee Compensation |
The status of viewing compensation for the employee. “Set” indicates that the compensation structure of the employee is defined and “Not Set” indicates the compensation structure for the employee is not defined. |
Select the employee whose compensation structure is to be viewed by selecting the corresponding employee code in the multiline.
The “View Employee Salary Details” page appears.
