Help on Scale Code
This Help page allows you to search and select a scale code and transfer the details to the field where it is required.
You can search for a scale by specifying the search code The selected scale code is transferred to the required page when the OK button is executed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Scale Code” field.
The “Help On Scale” page appears.
The system displays the following fields at the top of the page.
Organization Structure Unit |
The description of the interacting organization structure unit through which the Grade Sets are defined. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
To specify search criteria, enter the following fields.
Employment Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Employment Unit. |
Currency |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Currency. |
Grade Set Code |
To view all the grade set codes containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these category codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: *1, GS*12, GS*. |
Grade Set Short Description |
To view all the short descriptions of the grade sets containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these grade set descriptions. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: FIRST*GRADE, SECOND*, *GRADE. |
Grade Code |
To view all the grade codes containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these category codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: Grade*1, Grade*, *Grade. |
Grade Short Description |
To view all the short descriptions of the grade code containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these grade code descriptions. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples Grade* One, Grade*, *Grade. |
Scale Code |
To view all the scale codes containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these category codes. |
Scale Short Description |
To view all the short descriptions of the scale code containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these scale code descriptions. |
Scale Long Description |
To view all the long descriptions of the scale code containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these scale code descriptions. |
Mapping From Date |
The date in the range of the dates in which the mapping of the scale and grade is done. |
Mapping To Date |
The date in the range of the dates until which the mapping of the scale and grand is done. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton to view the list of scale records satisfying these search criteria.
The system displays the following details in the multiline for the scale records that satisfy the combination of search criteria.
Employment Unit |
The employment unit of an organization. |
Grade Set Code |
The unique code of the grade set. |
Grade Set Short Description |
The short description of the grade set. |
Grade Code |
The unique code of the grade. |
Grade Short Description |
The short description of the grade. |
Scale Code |
The unique code of the scale. |
Scale Short Description |
The short description of the scale code. |
Scale Long Description |
The long description of the scale code. |
Lower Limit |
The lower limit value of the scale. |
Increment |
The increment value of the scale. |
Upper Limit |
The upper limit value of the scale. |
Currency |
The currency for the scale. |
Mapping From Date |
The date in the range of the dates in which the mapping of the scale and grade is done. |
Mapping To Date |
The date in the range of the dates until which the mapping of the scale and grand is done. |
Scale Effective From |
The starting date from which the scale level is effective. |
Scale Effective To |
The ending date until which the scale level is effective. |
Level |
The level of the scale. |
Click on the “Select” checkbox corresponding to the required scale details. After selecting the required scale code record from the multi line, select the “OK” pushbutton.
The selected scale code is displayed in the “Scale Code” field, respectively in the previous page.
