This page allows you to create schedules from which the financial statement of the company can be derived. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Schedule” link under the “Financial Statement Layout” business component.
The “Create Schedule” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Book Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of finance book for which you want to create a schedule. The types of finance books that have been deployed in the login organizational unit will be available for selection. It could be “Posting finance book”, “Posting tax book”, “Main finance book”, “Main tax book”, or “Consolidation finance book”. |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book for which the schedule is being created. All the finance books that have been mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
Chart of Accounts ID |
Use the drop-down list box to select code identifying the operative chart of account for which the schedule is being created. All the chart of accounts that are present in the selected finance book will be available for selection. |
Note: If “Main finance book” or “Main tax book” is selected in the “Book Type” field the operative chart of accounts ID pertaining to the company or the chart of accounts ID that are industry specific or the chart of accounts ID that are country specific will be available for selection.
If “Posting finance book” or “Posting tax book” is selected in the “Book Type” field the operative chart of accounts ID pertaining to the company will be available for selection.
If “Consolidation finance book” is selected in the “Book Type” field the consolidation chart of accounts ID will be available for selection.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the account codes or schedule that can be mapped to the new schedule.

Account Classification |

Use the drop-down list box to select the group to which the account belongs. You can select from “Asset”, “Liability”, “Capital”, “Revenue” and “Expenditure”. |
Account Code From |
The starting code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve for including in the schedule (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the account codes that are similar to the value entered here. |

Account Description |

You can enter the schedule number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the schedule numbers that are similar to the value entered here. |
Note: The number entered in this field must be the same or before the number entered in the “To” field.

Note: While assigning schedule to a group the “Schedule Classification” “Book Type”, “Finance Book” and the “Chart of Accounts ID” of the schedule must be the same as the new schedule that is being created. You can group any number of account codes or schedules under another schedule.
Click the “Assign Group” pushbutton to assign the selected account codes or the schedules to a group.
A unique group ID is generated for the group. The group details are saved temporarily till the final “Create Schedule” is executed.
Note: If the schedule has been classified as “Balance Sheet” or “Income Statement” then all the account codes or schedules that have been mapped to it must also be classified as “Balance Sheet” or “Income Statement”.
Click the “Create Schedule” pushbutton to create a new schedule.
The system updates the “Active” status to the schedule. The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

Select the “View Schedule” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the schedule.
Select the “Copy Schedule” link at the bottom of the page to make a copy of the schedule.
Creating schedule – An overview
You can enter a schedule number that is unique for the selected combination of finance book type and the finance book. You can also describe the schedule in detail. A schedule can be classified for use in a “Balance Sheet”, “Income Statement” or the “Cash Flow Statement”. These schedules must be used as per the classification made.
You can carry out a search to retrieve the account codes or the schedules that can be mapped to a new schedule. You can search based on the classification of the account and the group to which the account belongs or by specifying a range of codes identifying the account and the numbers identifying the schedules. You can also search based on the description of the account. The system provides you the facility to carry out the search to retrieve all the account codes irrespective of whether they have been mapped to a schedule or not or retrieve all the “Active” schedules that can be added to the new schedule.
You can select account codes or schedules that have been retrieved based on the search criteria and include them in the new schedule that is being created. You can map account codes to multiple schedules. You can also map multiple schedules to a new schedule. Schedules that have the same account codes mapped to them must not be mapped together under a new schedule. You can also indicate the sequence in which the account codes or the schedules must figure in the new schedule.
This page also allows you to group account codes or schedules. You can enter a unique heading and description for the group. A unique number is also generated for the group.
The status of the schedule is updated as “Active” when it is created newly. The system stores the login user ID and the system date along with the creation details.

You can classify the schedules based on the financial statement in which it will be used. A schedule can be classified under “Balance Sheet”, “Income Statement” or “Cash Flow Statement”.
Set the “Schedule Classification” field to “Balance Sheet” to use the schedule while creating a balance sheet.
Set the “Schedule Classification” field to “Income Statement” to use the schedule while creating an income statement.
Set the “Schedule Classification” field to “Cash Flow Statement” to use the schedule while creating a cash flow statement.
Retrieve account codes and schedule numbers
You can retrieve the account codes that can be mapped to a schedule. You can also retrieve the schedule numbers that are to be mapped to this schedule.
Set the “Option” field to “All Account Codes” to retrieve all the account codes available in the finance book irrespective of whether they have been mapped to a schedule or not.
Set the “Option” field to “Unmapped Account Codes” to retrieve all the account codes available in the finance book that have not been mapped to a schedule.
Set the “Option” field to “Only Schedules” to retrieve the schedule numbers that are already available in the finance book.
Retrieve account codes based on the classification
You can retrieve the account codes based on the category under which it is classified.
Set the “Account Classification” field to “Balance Sheet” to retrieve all the account codes that have been classified as “Balance Sheet” accounts.
Set the “Account Classification” field to “Income Statement” to retrieve all the account codes that have been classified as “Income Statement” accounts.
Set the “Account Classification” field to “Retained Earnings” to retrieve all the account codes that have been classified as “Retained Earnings”.
Retrieve account codes based on the account groups
Accounts codes are generally grouped under “Assets”, “Liability”, “Capital”, “Revenue” or “Expenditure”. You can retrieve account codes based on their account group.
Set the “Account Group” field to “All” to retrieve all the account codes irrespective of the group they belong.
Set the “Account Group” field to “Asset” to retrieve all the account codes that have been grouped as “Assets” account.
Set the “Account Group” field to “Liability” to retrieve all the account codes that have been grouped as “Liability” account.
Set the “Account Group” field to “Capital” to retrieve all the account codes that have been grouped as “Capital” account.
Set the “Account Group” field to “Revenue” to retrieve all the account codes that have been grouped as “Revenue” account.
Set the “Account Group” field to “Expenditure” to retrieve all the account codes that have been grouped as “Expenditure” account.
Assign accounts / schedules to groups
You can group the account codes or the schedules within a schedule. You can assign a heading to the group and also describe it in detail. This group heading would appear in the schedule.
Enter the necessary information in the “”Group Account / Schedule” group box.
Click
the “Assign Group” pushbutton.
The account codes and the schedules are grouped under a heading and a unique number is generated for it. This group number is unique across the organizational unit.
Select account codes / schedule numbers to be included in the new schedule
You can select the account codes / schedule numbers to include them as per the requirement in the new schedule.
Set the “Include” field to “Yes” if you want to include the account code or schedule number available in the row to the new schedule.
Set the “Include” field to “No” if you do not want to include the account code or the schedule number available in the row to the new schedule.
Select the balance to be displayed
You can select the account balances that you want to view or print in the schedule. You can view or print the “Closing Balance”, “Period Credit”, “Period Debit”, “Period Amount” or the “Opening Balance” of the account.
Set the “Account Balance” field to “Closing Balance” if you want to view / print the closing balances of the account.
Set the “Account Balance” field to “Period Credit” if you want to view / print the credit balances of the account at the end of a financial period.
Set the “Account Balances” field to “Period Debit” if you want to view / print the debit balances of the account at the end of a financial period.
Set the “Account Balances” field to “Opening Balance” if you want to view / print the opening balances of the account.
Select the type of balance to be displayed
You can select the type of account balances that you want to view or print in the schedule. You can view or print the “Positive”, “Negative”, “Both” or “Do not Print”.
Set the “Print / View” field to “Positive” to print / view only the positive account balances.
Set the “Print / View” field to “Negative” to print / view only the negative account balances.
Set the “Print / View” field to “Both” to print / view both the positive and negative account balances.
Set the “Print / View” field to “Do not Print” if you do not want to print / view the account balances.
