Active Directory Information
Select the “Active Directory Information” activity under the “Deployment Administration” business component.
The “Active Directory Information” page appears.
This page consists of the following tabs:
Tab – Active Directory Details
This page allows you to specify active directory details such as active directory domain name, description, host name, port number etc.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Domain Name |
The unique active directory domain should be specified. Mandatory. |
Domain Description |
The description of the domain name. Mandatory. |
Host Name |
The server name or ip address that is assigned to an active directory uniquely identifies it on a network. Mandatory. |
Port No. |
The available communication port numbers are 389 and 636 for http and https address respectively. Mandatory |
Common User Name |
The common active directory user name which provide access to the active directory. This field id mandatory if common password is entered. |
Common Password |
The password for common active directory user name. This field id mandatory if common user name is entered. |
Click the “Save” button to save the active directory details.
Tab – Active Directory – Deployment User Mapping
This page allows you to map the deployment user name to the active directory domain user name.
Enter the following search criteria:
Deployment User Name |
The name of the deployment user. |
Login User |
The name of the active directory login user. |
Fetch un-mapped Users |
Select the check box to retrieve the un-mapped deployment users in the multiline. |
Domain Description |
The description of the domain. |
Click “Search” button to retrieve the search results in the multiline.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Domain Description |
Use the drop-down list box and select the domain description to be mapped to the deployment user. The drop-down list box is loaded with the domain names, host name and domain description created in active directory tab. |
Login User |
The SAM account name of windows user logon name. Format for specifying the login user is Domainname\User Name. The domain name that is associated to the domain description in active directory tab. |
Deployment User Name |
Use the drop-down list box and select the deployment user to be mapped to the user. The combo is loaded with the user names that are not mapped to the Login User. |
Click “Save” button to save the active directory- deployment user mapping details.
