Defining precision
Using this page, precision predefined for various fields like bill amount, weight, time, etc. can be modified either at OU level or globally across all OUs.
Select the “Precision Type” activity under the “Deployment Administration” business component.
The “Precision Definition” screen appears.
Enter the following:
OU Instance Name |
Use the drop-down list and select the name of the OU instance for which precision needs to be defined. You can select the option “Global Precision” to define precision across all the OUs. |
The system displays the following:
OU Instance ID |
The identifier of the OU instance. |
Description |
The description of the OU instance. |
Enter the following search criteria:
Precision Type |
The precision type (E.g. Bill amount, weight, time, etc.) which needs to be retrieved in the multiline for the OU selected. |
Total Length |
The total length of the precision type. |
Decimal Length |
The decimal length of the precision type. |
Click the “Fetch” pushbutton to retrieve the predefined precision details in the multiline.
The system displays the following in the multiline:
Precision Type |
The precision type for which the precision needs to be modified. |
Total Length |
The total length of the precision type. |
Actual Decimal Length |
The actual decimal length of the precision type. |
Global Decimal Length |
The global decimal length of the precision type. |
Enter the following:
Decimal Length |
Enter the new decimal length for the precision type. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the precision definition details.
If a new decimal length is entered in the multiline, on save, the modified precision is saved for the precision Type in the OU Instance Name selected in the header.
If the OU Instance Name is selected as “Global Precision” in the header, and a new decimal length is entered, on save, the modified precision is saved for the precision Type globally across all OUs.
