Managing Attributes

Select the “Manage Attributes” activity under the “Financial Dimension” business component.
The “Manage Attributes” page appears.
Select the “Define Attributes” tab to define the Attributes and sequence of its dimension.
Select the “Map to Dimensions” tab enables mapping of attributes to dimensions in the OU/BU/Company/Installation level.
Select the “Manage Values” tab to record the value and Effectivity Period for every Attribute.
Select the “Dimension Value to Attribute Value Mapping” tab to map or unmap the dimension value to attribute value.
Select the “Maintain Attributes” tab to map or unmap the Dimension mapping.
Defining Attributes
This tab enables the user to define the Attributes and sequence of its dimension.
Select Enter the following field in the header section:
Dest Company |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the destination company for which the Attributes are to defined. The system lists all the active companies available in the installation. The system displays the login OU company, by default. |
Attribute Name |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the name of the Attribute. The system lists all the available attributes for the selected company along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
The system displays the following field:
Attribute Description |
The description of the Attribute selected. |
Select Enter the following field in the multiline:
Company |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the destination company for which the Attributes is to be defined. The system lists all the active companies available in the installation. The system displays the login OU company, by default. |
Attribute Name |
The name of the Attribute of the destination company. |
Attribute Description |
The description of the Attribute. |
Sequence |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the sequence of the Dimensions. The system lists all the system defined Dimension values along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Select Click the “Save” pushbutton to record the entered details.
Mapping to Dimensions
This tab enables the user to map the attributes to dimensions in the OU/BU/Company/Installation level.
Select Enter the following fields in the header section:
Company |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the destination company for which the Attributes Mapping is to be performed. The system lists all the active companies available in the installation. The system displays the first company, by default. |
Dimension Name |
Use the drop-down to specify the Dimension that is mapped with the Attribute. The system lists all the dimensions for the selected company. The system displays the first dimension for the selected company, by default. |
The system displays the following field:
Dimension Description |
The description of the Dimension. |
Select Enter the following fields in the header section:
Attribute Name |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the attribute name mapped to the Dimensions. The system lists all the available attributes for the selected company. The system displays the first company, by default. |

Select Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the details based on the entered search criteria.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Attribute Name |
The name of the attribute that is to be mapped with the Dimension. |

The description of the Attribute. |
Select Enter the following field:
Values Managed At |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the level at which the attribute is to be mapped. The system lists the values 'Company', 'Installation', 'Organization Unit' along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
The system displays the following field:
Status |
Indicates the status of the attribute mapping with the dimensions which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Select Click the “Map” pushbutton to map the the attributes to dimensions.
Managing Values
This tab enables the user to record the value and Effectivity Period for every Attribute.
Select Enter the following fields in the “Account Details” group box:
Company |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Company. The system lists all the companies available in the installation. The system displays the first company, by default. |
Attribute Name |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the attribute name mapped to the Dimensions. The system lists all the available attributes for the selected company. The system displays the first company, by default. |
The system displays the following fields:
Attribute Description |
The description of the Attribute. |
Value Managed At |
The level at which the attribute is mapped with the dimension which could be 'Company', 'Installation' or 'Organization Unit'. |
Select Enter the following field in the header section:
Entity |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the entity for the level at which the attribute is mapped with the dimension. The system lists all the saved value for Value Managed At column of the corresponding Attribute. |
Select Enter the following field in the multiline:

Use the drop-down list box to specify the entity for the level at which the attribute is mapped with the dimension. The system lists all the saved value for Value Managed At column of the corresponding Attribute. |
The system displays the following field:
Attribute Name |
The name of the Attribute for which the effectivity period is set. |
Select Enter the following field in the multiline:
Attribute Value |
The value of the Attribute for which the effectivity period is set. |
Effective From Date |
The starting date from which the Attribute is effective. |
Effective To Date |
The ending date until which the Attribute is effective. |
Select Click the “Save” pushbutton to record the effective period for the Attribute.
Mapping Dimension Value to Attribute Value
This tab enables the user to map or unmap the dimensions to attributes.
Select Enter the following fields in the header section:
Company |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Company. The system lists all the companies available in the installation. The system displays the first company, by default. |
Dimension Name |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Dimension that is mapped with the Attribute. The system lists all the dimensions for the selected company. The system displays the first dimension for the selected company, by default. |
Dimension Values Managed At |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the level at which the dimension values are managed. The system lists all the saved values for ‘Value Managed At’ in the “Manage Dimensions” screen. |
Dimension Entity |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the entity of the Dimension. The system lists all the saved value for ‘Value Managed At’ in the “Manage Dimensions” screen. |

Use the drop-down list box to specify the value of the Dimension. The system lists all the available dimensions for the Dimension Entity. The system displays the first value, by default. |

The status of the dimension value to attribute value mapping which could be “active” or “Inactive”. |

Maintaining Attributes
This tab enables the user to map or unmap the Dimension mapping.
Select Enter the following fields in the header section:
Company |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Company. The system lists all the companies available in the installation. The system displays the first company, by default. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the Attribute. The system lists the values “Active” and “Inactive” along with the value “All”. The system displays the value “All”, by default. |
Dimension Name |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the Dimension that is mapped with the Attribute. The system lists all the dimensions for the selected company. The system displays the first dimension for the selected company, by default. |
Dimension Values Managed At |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the level at which the dimension values are managed. The system lists all the saved values for ‘Value Managed At’ in the “Manage Dimensions” screen. |
Dimension Entity |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the entity of the Dimension. The system lists all the saved value for ‘Value Managed At’ in the “Manage Dimensions” screen. |

The starting date from which the Attribute is effective. |

The ending date upto which the Attribute is effective. |
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Status |
The status of the Attribute which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Dimension Name |
The name of the Dimension mapped to the Attribute. |
Attribute Name |
The name of the Attribute mapped to the Dimension. |
Select Click the “Map” pushbutton to map the Dimension Details.
Select Click the “Unmap” pushbutton to unmap the Dimension details.
Setting Dimension Value
This pop-up enables the user to define the user defined dimension values.
Select Enter the following fields in the header section:
Dest Company |
