This page allows you to grant or revoke rights for viewing columns in the view output.
Select the “Set View Rights” link under the “DCube” business component.
The “Set View Rights” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
Role Name |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user role for which you wish to set the rights. The system lists all the available roles that are mapped to the current business component. |
View Display Name |
The name of the view, as it appears in the view output (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve all the columns alias details, defined in the “Specify Columns” activity.
Check one of the following boxes, to grant/revoke rights for the columns in the view.
Grant Rights for All Columns |
Check this box to grant rights for all the columns in the view. If this box is checked, the “Revoke Rights for All Columns” box must be left blank. |
Revoke Rights for All Columns |
Check this box to revoke rights for all the columns in the view. If this box is checked, the “Grant Rights for All Columns” box must be left blank. |
Note: If one of these boxes is checked, the information entered in the multiline will be ignored.
The system displays the following in the “Grant/Revoke Rights” multiline:
Column Alias |
The alias name of the column in the view output. |
Enter the following field in the multiline:
Grant Rights |
Check this box to grant rights for the column. Leave the box blank, to revoke the rights for the column. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the settings.
Note: If the “Grant Rights for All Columns” or the “Revoke Rights for All Columns” check box is enabled, the system grants/revokes rights for all columns, when the “Save” pushbutton is clicked.
Also, if you have revoked rights for all columns of a view for a particular role, the view cannot be accessed by that role.
