This page allows you to search for a published view based on a view name, view display name or view type. Alternatively, the existing views can be searched without specifying any search criteria. The search results appear in the multiline and the required view can be selected.
Click the lens icon next to the “View Display Name” field in the “Set View Rights” page.
The “Help On View” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a published view. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
View Name |
The name of the view (Alphanumeric, 100). You can enter the view name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the views with the name entered here. |
View Display Name |
The name of the view, as it appears in the view output. You can enter the display name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the views with the display name entered here. |
View Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the view type. The system lists the following options: § Adhoc – Select this option to retrieve adhoc views. § Audit – Select this option to retrieve audit views. § Report – Select this option to retrieve report views. The system retrieves the views with the type entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the views, irrespective of the view type. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the available views.
The system displays the following fields in the “Available Views” multiline:
View Name |
The name of the view. |
View Display Name |
The name of the view, as it appears in the view output. |
View Type |
The type of the view, which could be “Adhoc”, “Audit” or “Report”. |
View Owner |
The name of the user who created the view. |
Check the box in the "Select" column of the multiline to mark the view required.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
