Collaborate – A summary of the activity
The Collaborate discussion tool facilitate the exchange of notes associated with various stages of carrying out a job, right from receiving customer parts for repair / overhaul until the delivery of serviceable parts back to the customer. Also, the tool facilitates interactions across transactions and departments. This workflow involves different roles like the Receiving Clerk, Inspector, Tech Support, Production Managers, etc who add notes at various stages of the job. Such shared notes have information that enables the recipient users to plan and execute their activities on a daily basis.
This tool can be launched from a collaborate icon available in the reference document screen itself and enables you to perform the following:
4 Add posts and share the post for a given document reference.
4 Attach documents, flag a post and share.
4 Recipients can be restricted to everyone or to only specific users (private) or specific roles like clerks, buyers, mechanics etc
4 View posts post related to linked documents or entities
4 Set alerts to distinguish important messages set reminders
4 Inbox Integration
What you can do in this activity
4 Click
the button at the top left corner.
4 Select a topic
4 Enter details in the Add a Post group box.
4 Click the “Post” pushbutton.

The ‘Upload File’ popup window appears.
4 Enter details in the ‘Upload File’ popup window.
4 Select the document which has to be uploaded.
4 Click the “Upload” push button

The system displays the icon
in orange indicating that the post has been flagged.
To share a post with specific users / roles or everyone
4Click
the button
at the top left corner.
4Use the “Share With” drop-down list box to select “Everyone” or “Specific”.
Click the “Post” pushbutton.

4 Enter the search criteria.
