4 Select “View Competency Element ” from the left pane
4 The “Select Competency Element to View” page appears.
4 Specify the following details.
Competency Definition Unit |
Select the organization unit in which competency elements have been defined. |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. This refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to view the competency element details. |
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the competency element code or the competency element short description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the competency element code or description contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
4 Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Competency Class Short Description |
The short description of the competency class to which the competency element record you want to view belongs. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
Competency Element Code |
To view the competency element codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the competency element codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, CEL1*, will search for those competency element codes that start with CEL1 Other examples are *CEL1, C*1 and CEL* etc. |
Competency Element Short Description |
To view all competency element short descriptions containing specific characters type in the starting character/s of the short description. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Com*, will search for those competency element short descriptions that start with Com*,. Other examples are *Skills Markng*S, and *Union Nego* etc. |
4 Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected competency definition unit.
4 The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the competency element records that satisfy the specified search criteria.
Competency Class Description |
The short description of the competency class. |
Competency Element Code |
The code of the competency element. |
Competency Element Short Description |
A brief description of the competency element. |
Inactive |
The active/inactive status of the competency element details. “Yes” indicates that the details are active and available for use in other activities, “No” indicates otherwise. |
