Edit Operative Chart of Accounts – A Summary of the Activity

This activity allows you to modify the operative chart of accounts. You can modify the details of the accounts if it is in “Active” status. You can search and select the account codes that have to be modified based on the selected chart of accounts ID. You can modify all the details of the account codes except the code identifying the account. The system saves all the modifications made and also updates the same in the various companies to which the Chart of Accounts has been attached.
This activity also allows you to assign the Chart of Accounts along with the account codes to various companies.

Retrieve account codes for modification
Account codes that are in the “Active” status can be modified. A search can be carried out to retrieve the account codes for modification.
Go to “Edit Operative Chart of Accounts” page.
Search and retrieve the account codes for modification.
Attach modified Chart of Accounts to a company
The chart of accounts pertaining to the account codes that have been modified can be attached to the companies
Go to “Attach / Copy Account Code to Company” page.
Select the company to which the chart of accounts / account codes must be attached.
Attach a chart of accounts to a company
Account codes / Chart of Accounts that have been defined for a parent company can be attached to the subsidiary companies. The system attaches all the accounts in the chart of accounts or the selected account codes to the company.
Go to “Edit Operative Chart of Accounts” page.
Select the chart of accounts ID.
Go to “Attach / Copy Account Code to Company” page.
Select the company to which the chart of accounts must be attached.
Copy modified Chart of Accounts to a company
The chart of accounts pertaining to the account codes that have been modified can be copied to the company.
Go to “Attach / Copy Account Code to Company” page.
Select the company to which the chart of accounts must be attached.
Copy a chart of accounts to a company
Account codes / Chart of Accounts that have been defined can be copied to companies. The system copies all the accounts in the chart of accounts or the selected account codes to the selected company.
Go to “Edit Operative Chart of Accounts” page.
Select the chart of accounts ID.
Go to “Attach / Copy Operative Chart of Accounts to Company” page.
Select the company to which the chart of accounts must be copied.
