Selecting kit part for break/re-build action
Select the “Break/Re-build Kit” link in the Kit Management component.
The “Select Kit” page appears.
Select the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to find the kit part that you want to break/rebuild.
Search On |
Use the drop-down list box to select the attribute that would be the basis for finding the kit part. The drop-down list box displays the following.

Select the “Search” pushbutton.
The “Search Results” group box displays the following.
Part # |
The identification # of the kit part |
Mfr. Serial # |
The manufacturer serial # of the kit part. |
Serial # |
The serial # of the kit part. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement for the kit part. |
Possible Actions |
The action that you can perform on the kit part. This field displays:

Incomplete? |
Indicates whether the kit part is completely or partially built. This field displays

Expiry Date |
The date till which the kit part is valid for use. |
Stock Status |
The stock status of the kit part. |
Condition |
The operational condition of the constituent part, such as “New”, “Serviceable” & “Overhaul”. |
Customer # |
The customer who owns the kit part, if the ownership of the kit part is “Customer”. |
Build/Break Kit # |
The Build Kit # for a rebuild transaction; Break Kit #, if the transaction pertains to breaking a kit. |
Created Date |
The date on which the kit was built for the first time. |
Status |
The status of the kit part, which can be “Fresh” or “Allocated |
Kit Category |
The category of the kit part. |
User Status |
The user status of the kit part. |
Mfr. Lot # |
The lot # of the kit as allotted by the manufacturer. |
Lot # |
The lot # of the kit part. |
Mfr. Part # |
The part # of the kit part as allotted by the manufacturer. |
Mfr. # |
The manufacturer of the kit part. |
Kit Description |
The name/short description of the kit part. |
Select the kit part that you want to re-build/break in the “Search Results” multiline.
Select the “Build/Re-build Kit” link to rebuild the kit part that you have selected in the multiline.
Note: You can build a kit part serial # only if the “Build” attribute of the kit part is set in the “Maintain Kit Composition” activity.
Select the “Break Kit” link to break the part that you have selected in the multiline.
Note: You can break a kit part serial # only if the “Break” attribute of the kit part is set in the “Maintain Kit Composition” activity.
