Selecting employee to assign to work orders
This page allows you to select the employee for assigning work orders. You can carry out a search based on filter criteria such as employee number, primary skill, employee first name, middle name, last name, work center to which the employee is attached, resource group and service area of the employee. The system retrieves the employee details such as the employee number, employee name, primary skill, work center and resource group.
Select the “Assign Employee to Work Order(s)” link under the “Hangar Work Order” business component.
The “Select Employee” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Employee # |
The code identifying the employee for whom you wish to assign work order tasks or work orders (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the employee number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employees whose employee code is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees defined in the “Create Employee Record” activity of the “Employee Information” business component that are in the “Active” status. |
Primary Skill # |
The number identifying the primary skill of the employee (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the primary skill in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employees whose primary skill is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of the primary skill. |
Employee First Name |
The first name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the first name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employees whose first name is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of their first name. |
Employee Middle Name |
The middle name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the middle name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employees whose middle name is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of their middle name. |
Employee Last Name |
The last name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the last name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employees whose last name is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of their last name. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center. The system displays all the work centers defined in the login organizational unit. The system leaves this field blank, by default. |
Resource Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the resource group to which the employee belongs. The system provides the options, “Inspector”, “Mechanic” and “Others”. The system retrieves the employees who belong to the resource group specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of the resource group. |
Service Area |
Use the drop-down list box to select the area in which the employee serves. The system provides the options, “Current Work Centers”, “Child Work Centers” and “All Work Centers”. The system retrieves the employees who serve in the service area specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of the service area. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the employees based on the search criteria.
Note: Leave all the search fields blank to retrieve all the “active” employees defined in the system.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Employee # |
The employee retrieved by the system. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Primary Skill # |
The number that identifies the primary skill of the employee. |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the primary skill of the employee |
Resource Group |
The resource group, such as “mechanic”, “inspector” or “others”, to which the employee belongs. |
Service Area |
The service area in which the employee services, such as “current work centers”, “child work centers” or “all work centers”. |
Productivity Factor |
The number that indicates the efficiency of the employee on a 0 to 1 scale. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select employee for assigning work orders.
