To search for a component warranty reference

Warranty Reference #

The warranty reference number for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the warranty reference number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all component warranty reference numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the component warranty reference. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Fresh - Select this option to view the details of the component warranty in "Fresh" status.

 
  • Cancelled - Select this option to view the details of the component warranty in " Cancelled" status.

 
  • Confirmed - Select this option to view the details of the component warranty in "Confirmed" status.

 
  • Expired - Select this option to view the details of the component warranty in "Expired" status.

Warranty Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of warranty to be viewed. The system lists the options "New", "OEM", "Overhaul" "Repair","Ultimate Life" and "Mod". The system retrieves the component warranty reference documents that have the warranty type selected here.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all warranty reference documents that have the part number entered here.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component for which the component warranty is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all component warranty reference documents with the part serial number entered here.

Part Description

The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all warranty reference documents whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

ATA #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the ATA chapter to which the component belongs. The system lists all the ATA chapter numbers created in the "Create ATA Chapter" activity of the "Aircraft" business component. The system retrieves all warranty reference documents with the ATA chapter number selected here.

Component Family #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the component family to which the component belongs. The system lists all the component family numbers created in the "Create Component Family" activity of the "Aircraft" business component. The system retrieves all component warranty documents with the component family number selected here.

Component Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the component, which can be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” and “Others”. The system retrieves all components with the component type selected here.

Supplier Part #

The supplier part number assigned to the component for which the warranty reference is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the supplier part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all warranty reference documents with the supplier part number entered here.

Supplier #

The number identifying the supplier who supplied the component (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the supplier number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all warranty reference documents with the supplier number entered here.

Warranty Reference #

The warranty reference document created for the component.

 

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

 

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component for which the component warranty reference document is created.

 

Component #

The number of the component for which the component warranty reference document is created.

 

Warranty Type

The type of warranty, which could be "New", "OEM", "Overhaul",  "Repair", "Ultimate Life" or "Mod".

 
 
  • New - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty.

 
 
  • OEM - indicates that the OEM has given the warranty.

 
 
  • Overhaul - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for overhaul.

 
 
  • Repair - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for repair.

 

 

  • Ultimate Life - indicates that the warranty is given for entire life of  the component.

 

 

  • Mod – indicates that the warranty is given for the modification done on the component as suggested by MCR.

 

Comments

Any additional information pertaining to the warranty for the component.

 

Warranty Category

The category to which the component warranty belongs.

 

Status

The status of the component warranty which could be one of the following:

 
 
  • Fresh - the status of the component warranty after creation in the "Create Component Warranty" activity.

 
 
  • Cancelled - the status of the component warranty after cancellation in the "Confirm Component Warranty" activity.

 
 
  • Confirmed - the status of the component warranty after confirmation in the "Confirm Component Warranty" activity.

 
 
  • Expired - the status of the component warranty after it expires in the "Expire Component Warranty" activity.

 

Source

The source of the component under warranty, which could be "Aircraft", or "Component". The system displays blank if the component is purchased directly.

 

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the component belongs.

 

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

 

Component Family #

The number identifying the component family to which the component belongs.

 

Component Type

The type to which the component belongs, which can be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”.

 

Supplier Part #

The part number given to the component by the supplier.

 

Supplier #

The code of the supplier who supplied the part.

 

Supplier Name

Selecting component warranty for viewing - An overview

If you know the component warranty reference number, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can search based on the warranty reference number, status, warranty category, warranty type, part number, serial number, part description, ATA chapter number, component family number, component type, supplier part number and the supplier code. The system retrieves the component warranty references of the status "Fresh", "Cancelled", "Confirmed" and "Expired" for viewing in the multiline.
